Too bad the Hawks lost to Detroit today. They did have a great season that saw a ton of positive things. All games will be on TV next year and hopefully they will have their fan base grow even bigger. These kids are going to be fun to watch.

The Hawks have their "Ice Girls" here is the link and it shows that
the Chicago Ice Crew won with the highest number of votes for the hottest ice girls! There are a few there that are very hot, check them out.

Kind of a down way to finish the season. They simply looked like a team that knew the season for them was over. That's only human. On to a good off season to come out of the gate with the legs moving in the Fall. A lot to look forward to. Next April we'll be seeing who our first round opponent will be! One last time: GO HAWKS!!

OUCH! A tiny little bit disappointing. Would've liked to have seen them put an exclamation point on the message to the league.

Away from the puck, Ladd was pretty powerful around the front of the net. Saw him take a couple, two, three shoves, after the whistle, by two, three Deadwingers and not get moved an inch. To the contrary, it looked like the were shoving against a wall, you know, like vertical push-ups. I was enjoying that.
A lot of blather, by the commentators, about how wonderful the future is for every other team in the league and, oh ya, Kane and Toews have a bright future for the Hawks.
HEY, BIASED BONE-HEADS: WHY, IF KANE AND TOEWS ARE THE ONLY WORTHY MENTION, ABOUT THE HAWKS FOR NEXT SEASON, DID YOU MENTION JUST ABOUT EVERY OTHER PLAYER ON OUR TEAM IN A POSITIVE WAY? Bunch of cheap talk! I'll Stay with this bunch, and we'll see whether the other teams, really are the deal.
Sharp, WAS. Kane and Toews held back a bit. Seabrook and Ladd, held their own. Habby, didn't look too good. Keith made mistakes. Etc. I still will take this bunch. They look bi-polar, but staying on their meds. NEXT YEAR they're going without the meds and don't try to knock them off their course to the Cup! NASTY WILL RESULT!!

First game I saw them on TV this year, great to see the future unfolding before our eyes. Great to see that puck roll up Dan Cleary's stick, under his visor right into his big nose..that's what you get for leaving the Hawks, Dead Wing!

They were talking about the quality of the draft this year, during the game yesterday. I've heard enough from you guys to know that it's not like the NFL, where there is always a glut of glamour players, in a particular year, and THAT is described as a quality draft (high number of "desirable" players). There's not much glamour in an NHL draft, so I will hope that the Hawks pull up high enough to have the luxury of picking both forwards and defensemen.

Hey tony, chico17,section 319, Tim all fans. In case you have been wondering where I have been for the last 2 weeks i t wasn't because I jumped off the band wagon. Quadruple heart by pass and Just got home today. Saw enough on the highlights to know we just ran out of games this year. A key D-man, a sniper, and some fine tuning and we are on the way next year.Where the hell did all our guys go when home town boy Chelios was cross checking Kaner. I cann't believe we let that guy tune up our smallest player and big part of our future. Couldn't see much in the hospital. How did the wall play?
Great year to chat with you guys next year we can do it again. I will watch the Trib for any off season news. LOUD CHEER ONE MORE TIME GO HAWKS!!!

Right back at ya in St. Paul,a big part of the heartland of USA hockey. Every year we see more Americans up here to play in our junior program and it is no secret the USA is becoming our biggest rival for World Juniors.WE are happy to give our best guys to the Hawks because we are fans first and foremost. GO Hawks.

Wow that is something, glad to see that you are back. Man when Chelly did that to Kane we were all over him. I was surprised that the ref let him cross check him as many times as he did, and even more surprised when Kane snapped and hit him back with his stick. I just hope that the Hawks don't draft a defenseman with the first pick. Part of me thinks too bad they have such a high pick cause it would be great to see them get that Toews kid. That would be a great line. Kane, Toews, and Toews. Well we shall see what they end up doing with the draft soon. I will give it to Tallon, they have drafted very well. The Ice Hogs are the 2nd best team in the AHL, not that it matters that much. The thing that matters is can those players make it to the NHL and be an impact player. We have seen it this year, those other kids can play. The Hawks had more minor league players up compaired to any other NHL Team. And to see where they were speaks volumnes for thos kids.

Hey Paul, I got on the wagon late November (well, not really. Life long fan that was pushed away by Bill Wirtz over the last 20 yrs) and am really in Chicago. I love this board, the guys on it and our newly revitalized Blackhawks.
I, also, love Canadians and their love of hockey.

Not in particular to Canadians, but hockey players in general, are the best citizens in all of major professional sports. This despite the manly ruggedness required to play old-time winning hockey. You would expect more off-ice shenanigans and brutality. To the contrary, having met more than my share of them, they seem better equipped to handle the business of their pro-level pay and don't let their status isolate them from us blue collar fans (OK, I'm white collar, but enjoy more the company of blue collars, capece?).
I'm glad to "meet" you, Paul and glad that you came out the other side OK.
I go back to the era of, supposed, hockey "goons" that cold "deek" you out of your skates, deftly put a puck into the upper right corner and then proceed to beat the living snot out of anyone taking exception to his goal!
I, finally, don't miss that brand of hockey, having been cured of that obsession by a bunch of hustling, hard working, well mannered, tough "minded", position playing, take no quarter, intelligent and appreciative hockey kids: Blackhawks!

RamRod, blue collar guys are the life blood of our game up here. Six in the morning at the rink with their kids. The guys and gals on this board are great people and it is the first place I visit after every game.
The hockey rinks are our cathedrals and the game is our religion ( metephorically speaking). Well the playoffs start tomorrow and we get every game up here so life can't get any better.
AS the old Brooklynn Dodger fans used to say " wait til next year". The Hawks will be there for sure come play-off time.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Scorpio

Your thoughts turn to the past today, putting you in a nostalgic mood. You're awash with sentimental tears as you dwell on days gone by or gaze at photos of people you'll never see again. However, try not to let this mood of reminiscence turn into a tendency to feel sorry for yourself and therefore to demand special treatment from others.
