That's something that no team can prepare for. Not only are we going to beat the Jackets we are going to beat the Wings.

I just grit my teeth because, as a Blackhawk fan in truly virgin territory, I want so bad to call the Detroit back-to-back games, right now so I can stick it to them once the feat has been accomplished. The trouble is, while the kids are razored up to the point that they have the potential to deal Detroit a blow, I also realize that "Q's" strategy might include "rope-a-doping" that set, so as to do the sleeper thing, should they meet in the big dance. By the way, how much LaBatts you got stashed in your basement? I want to check all available resources so I have a fluid supply all the way up to swilling it out of the chalice! "TOK, D!" Sorry guys! Got my game face on and the adrelin is pumping. I'll got outside and run through a few brick walls to cool off a bit.

Brought in a trailer today to cart away the empties. They will be back tomorrow with the night shift's production run. They have scheduled enough production to keep my US buddies supplied until the next World Series and Super Bowl.

Tim - Hockey Rules wrote: MI Hawks fan, I love it. It is great to see someone living in MI that can't stand the Wings and roots for the Hawks. I am just so happy that we are in the playoffs this year. What happened to all the negative people from a few weeks ago. They all thought the sky was falling, that the Hawks were going to either not make the playoffs or get swept. Well the Hawks are on a 5 game winning streak. Need only 2 points to have the 4th spot in the playoffs. And are 1 point away from getting 100 points, something that has not been done since the 92-93 season I believe. This team is good, and they can go far. To the Vancouver, Nashville, and Detroit fans that all come on to the blogs here and talk crap. The Hawks are back, and I think they are going to go far in the playoffs. Gone are the days that the UC is filled with more fans of the visiting team. The UC rocks and that is just during the regular season. I can only imagine how loud it is going to be during the Playoffs. Oh my how sweet it is. what a great year it has been for the Hawks. They had the Winter Classic, sold out every home game so far, and now the Playoffs. I am so glad I am a season ticket holder. GO HAWKS Now don't take this the wrong way. I was one of what your calling those negative fans. What you saw as negativity was purely concern. From being a regular post reader I know your a dedicated fan. The bigger the fan you are..the more it hurts when the team you love disappoints you. I still have concerns as we enter the playoffs but the Hawks since the Montreal game have proven alot to me. It seemed during the mid season they couldn't carry a chip on their shoulder againest teams that manhandled them in previous games. Playing smart hockey is the most important thing, but playing smart hockey carrying that chip is what wins in the playoffs & I think they've grown up a little since that Vancouver/Montreal collapse. I'm still concerned about their PP, their PK seems better as of late so that's an upside. The other thing that still concerns me is faceoffs. I'm worried about the defensive zone draw & Khabi being screened. Also the offensive zone draw wins would certainly help with setting up their PP alot. They need to keep playing physical like they've been these last 5 games also.

Jeese!!! Can anyone tell me why i see all week on the sprotsnews that the "Blackhawks are in fourth place" when the stats say they are ahead of van and calgary?????? Are they not in the thrid slot overall in the west or not...they have more points than van or calgary....so why are they not listed as in third in the west....? I mean the divisional structure is to me irrelevant....the first in a division dont play the last in the division...that has been replaced with first plays last in the conference, not the division. I loved the old Norris/Patrick/Smythe/etc etc.... that made sense. But i am so tired of commentators and sports channels saying the Hawks are in 'fourth" place.... So can anyone tell me why that is being broadcast that way...cause I dont know or understand why. K

"...why is it that those HILLBILLIES never seem to receive the memo that says that it is BUSH to chant "YOU SUCK" to the opposing goalie at that level of the game ??? And need us remind them of who the winning backstopper was ??? "
That may be true but nothing sounded better than 21 thousand fans yellin "Detroit Sucks!" the day after X-mas (when Hawks were playing the FLYERS, not the Wings.)
