Ellis stood on his head. The Hawks hit three posts and boom!
you lose the game in a shootout...1pt not much of a consolation at this point of the season. Not much energy from either team imo.
No playoff intensity from both teams especially the Hawks who needed the two points more than Nashville...Dissapointing effort.

They lose Sunday and it's ova...

Typical Hawks...so many promises, raised prices, and still no playoffs or free agents....too bad...wait until Kane and Toews want big money to stay....Chicago will cut them loose too....we stink as a franchise thanks to the Wirtz family....sell the team to someone who cares...please

Dan Dan Dan where you been for the last 5 months? The franchise is headed in the right direction. Money will be spent. Kane and Toews will not be going anywhere and when the time comes the Hawks will lock them up the way the Caps locked up Ovie.
Wait till next year actually means something....Rocky Wirtz is head and shoulders above his old man.But if your that negative or down on the Hawks at this point without really following whats going on then your not a true fan.I'm sure Chico,Tim,Bryan,Paul, Section 319 will all say the same thing...

Tony you are right.True fans don't jump on and off the band wagon. The future of this team looks bright and the new owner has put fan enthusiam, regard for the Hawks tradition, re-connected with past greats and the fans and will rebuild a winning tradition.
Heard most of yesterdays game and say the highlites. Ellis stoned us. The Wall played well too. Those 3 posts made a difference but sometimes you don't get the breaks.Seems like we had a letdown after the big win over the Caps. Happens with ayoung team but they will mature. The boys will pick it up and we will close with a winning run,got to beat St.Louis today> GO HAWKS!! True fans are still on side and positive.

Sharp could've had 3 or 4 goals.
To me the Hawks didn't flip the switch on until the last 5 minutes of the game and in the overtime but Paul your right with a young team you look for a little more consistancy...It's definately a rollercoaster ride...GO HAWKS!

A bitter, bitter defeat. Got to disagree with you Tony, I think the effort and energy was there, it just
didn't translate to goals thanks to Ellis and a few bounces. Khabi's play bodes well for the stretch run- who knows, there may yet be a chance.

To Dan: I ask the same question: Where in the heck have you been in the last year? Honestly, I almost think you are kidding. If you are not, you really have been hiding on some mountain with no communication to the outside(hockey) world. If this was the '06-'07 saeson your thoughts would possibly make a little bit of sense. Strange commentary! Get some tapes, hockey publications, etc. and get caught up to 2008 for goodness sake. Relax pal.

To Tony, Tim, Paul, Bryan, 319 and Will: That game bothered me more than any game they have played this season. I can't quite put my finger on it. I usually don't get very pissed off or angry after a loss. I get disappointed and then I try to put some analysis of the game into play and try to figure out what happened. Ellis was lucky as hell to begin with. He sure hot digged that glove save on Toews during the shootout. I give him credit for the save, but the puck was shot right into his glove. He didn't have to raise the glove in "triumph" after the save. That got me angry. I don't like Nashville anyway. Those people sure as heck don't know hockey as it is. The Ontario area deserves that franchise. Anyway, today's game is an absolute must. Aloss and it truly is over. GO HAWKS!

Sorry Will I still didn't see the intensity maybe only in spurts. Compare that to some of the other games that were on lastnite that meant something there is no comparison...Oilers-Aves and Flames-Wild as examples..Show me more hunger.

NCAA way more important than hockey!
Ouch, the kids got slapped 2-1 by Nashville. It isn't even mentioned in the paper other than a box score. Forty seven years and counting. They Gone! Homer circle jerkers will feel left out. Boo, hoo baby!

Put the Nashville team in Hamilton and you would see Chiccago type dyed in the wool fans. Wild, loud, enthusiastic, loyal to the end!! We were disappointed up here when the franchise didn' come here. It would probably wake up the Leafs management as well. They have more money then you can imagine and they put a bunch of re-treads out there and call it a team and the joint sells out. They have a waiting list for seasons tickets. Oh well there problem not ours. GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!

The league now wants to go to KC and Las Vegas. I never have liked Bettman. The league has done some good things recently. Expansion has to go to the Hamilton area as a starter. Move Nashville to Winnipeg or Hamilton. The league has to leave non hockey areas and relocate in hockey country. California can support teams because of its size. South Florida will fail down the road in my opinion. What do you think Tony and Paul?

It's easy to say South Florida will fail but you can say the same for Carolina and Atlanta too...TB still sells out their games even during this terrible year their having.
Panthers are so so...Canada is a natural for expansion.

Tony, Chico, and Paul the one thing I love about this place is that when the Hawks are winning people are positive. When they lose or go thru a losing streak then the morons come out. Dan writes "Typical Hawks...so many promises, raised prices, and still no playoffs or free agents....too bad...wait until Kane and Toews want big money to stay....Chicago will cut them loose too....we stink as a franchise thanks to the Wirtz family....sell the team to someone who cares...please". Well I really think that Dan needs to get a clue about the game of Hockey and the way a hockey team is ran. Look it was Bill Wirtz who ran the team into the ground, and last I checked Bill Wirtz is rotting in the ground. Rocky had turned the team around. You say the raised prices - What prices, I have been a season ticket holder for years - Show me the price increase. NOTHING except fot parking has went up, and parking is not part of the Hawks. And get a clue do you really think that Kane and Toews are going anywhere?? I will explain something to you, with the cap the Hawks are still under the Cap amount. Then 2 of their big money contracts are going to be up next year. Finally this was the last year they had to pay for the contracts they had to buy out of Barnaby and Brown. The Hawks have made huge improvements over last year and are only a few players away like a sniper, a top defenseman, and a top forward. Before you are going to write garbage here know what you are talking about. Cause I will tell you my friends here Tony Chico, and Paul all know there stuff.

WHAT???!!!

I dont know how long you been a Hawks fan for but. I can atleast agree with your first two sentances but the Hawks played FANTASTIC!! they should have had that game. Its typical tho, I can really blame the players. I think that was the best game the Hawks have played all season. They kept the puck in the zone and kept attacking and put 110% into the effort. They knew they had to get points out of that game. We just ran into a goalie on his head and when you're hot your hot.

For a loyal fan and a Hawks fanatic to the 100th degree this team has dynasty written all over them. I havent seen domination like that from the Hawks sense 91. It sucks we lost but we got a point out of it and this was a learning experience for the Hawks. They are a young fantastic club with a ton to prove. Toews played like he was Stevy Y and watching him play for the next 10-15 seasons in a Hawks sweater is going to be great.

Dale has built a great team over the past few seasons.

This isnt the "Baby Bulls" this isnt the NBA this is Chicago Blackhawks hockey. I can only compare this team to the Oilers dynasty of the 80's. It took 4 years to get to their main goal. Albeit times have changed and it will take a little bit longer to get to where the Oilers were at BUT its gonna happen and Im not riding on hope I know its a fact.
