Even though it was a questionable call against Upshall, the Flyers didn't deserve to win this game...1 point was more than they deserved. When you go 0-8 on the powerplay, you don't deserve to win the game.

lol HE PASSED IN THE GOLIE ZONE AND PUSH HIM, ITS AN AUTOMATIC STUPID PENALTY. The flyers are good when they are in offensive zone but they are really weak in defensive. Better luck next time i guess.

Well, it's a call that could have gone either way. Halak could've been called just as easily for interfering with Upshall.

No he was in the blue zone... No1 can touch him in that zone and its obvious that Halak wasnt the 1 who went to the other. I cant understand why you think this penalty is questionable, maybe because somke refs are blind and wouldnt saw it but it was a good call.

it could've been called as incidental contact...Upshall ran out of room when he skated for the puck, and really wasn't able to get outta the way.

Yeah i know it could be accidental but the fact is the fact, theres nothing in the rule saying if its an accidental hit in the blue zone theres no penalty, the ref did his job, upshall will have to find an other way next time or at least avoid the goalie. If directly after that the puck would go in now that would be a penalty right? He deserved it for real man.

I don't know, I sometimes think the Refs are too quick to go up with the arm. I don't think a player, on any team, should be penalized for trying to pursue the puck...here's what Upshall said:

“I thought it was definitely a borderline call, especially in overtime. It’s tough to kill a 4-on-3, which is basically like a 5-on-3,” said Upshall.“I wasn’t going in there to try to take out the goalie. I was going hard to the net, and I know I hit the back of his legs. That’s a situation where I’d try to do the same thing next time, try to make something happen. But sometimes those calls happen. I thought we had chances to win it in regulation. It was a game with a lot of up-and-down action.”

So, basically, Upshall means that the refs shouldn't be so quick to go up with the arm when a goaltender is nicked or not hit hard. The goalie has so much protection, anyways.

I'm not complaining about the Flyers losing, cause I didn't feel they deserved 2 points, for going 0-8 on the PP in regulation...I'm just saying that the way Upshall was called, it could have gone either way, depending on the player, who the officials are that night, and how the game has played out.

Capricorn

You're in an industrious mood but you'll be happiest if you can be left to your own devices as much as possible. It's not that you're feeling unfriendly, simply that you won't be able to concentrate very well if you're surrounded by lots of people. If you haven't even started writing your Christmas cards yet, try to remedy that at some point today.
