Someone give Keenan a box of Kleenex. If Bourque is hurt, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the result of getting flattened when he tried to check Seabrook. Go Hawks!

Keenan is a baby, shut up you sack of crap. Hopefully Bourque is out for the rest of the series. And don't tell me that some verbal talk is going to bother Jerome.

It's obvious to me that Keenan's whining is aimed to motivate his players and persuade the refs. He's a turd.

Keenan is grabbing at straws.. feeble attempt to influence and intimidate since his teams 'tactics' are not working on the ice... It is his team that is hitting high and the head shot on Toews by Dianne Phanook was dirty as it comes.. but oh yeah did you notice that he lost his coverage on Havlat who scored immediately following his cheap shot?

Hockey Vets, I have a question for you all:

I know that play-off hockey has a rougher style and the refs let the teams get away with a more physical type of play, but have the Flames gotten away with more than what is acceptable for a play-off series?

I would say Yes. I have watched the other games on VS. and honestly the only other game that is very physical is the Pitt, Philly game. I have no problem with physical hockey, but the cheap shots after the whistle is wrong. The Flames should be ashamed of their on ice antics

I am a Hawks fan first and foremost but I don't underestimate Keenan. His emphases on work and conditioning is amazing. He works the officials, irritates the opponents and their fans.
I had a friend that went to Flyers training camp in the late 90's and some of the things Keenan put in place are still part of their training and conditioning philosophy.
For example first day of camp is a ten mile race to start conditioning assessment. He used to have his strength and conditioning coach take the players wives and girl friends to the grocery store to teach them how to shop for the food an elite athlete needs.
I can remember going to the old Montreal forum to watch the Flyers play the Canadiend. The Flyers had less talent but no body took a night off and they were never out worked, they were always in peak condition.
I don't know if anyone sees this ethic in the Flames playiying against a more talented Hawks team but I sure do.
WE need a win tonight!! Go Hawks!!!

U.S. Hockey fans need to learn more about the game...so allow me to inform you that you need to play hard hockey but with class in the playoffs. I guess how would you guys know, it has been a while. Anyways, Calgary will put you in your place...oh and one more thing isn't Toews Canadian (will you cheer for him in 2010?) Go Flames Go.

Biggest cheap shot of this series has to be Jokinen running Hjarmalson after a wistle.... Nik wasn't even looking his way...so SHUT UP KEENAN.

Now Keenan is whining about "verbal abuse" and the league has to send out a memo??? Gimme a break! Welcome to peewees, where trash talking starts. It's part of the game and completely harmless. If that seriously is all it takes to throw a guy like Iginla off his game (seriously doubt it), than that is just some weak sauce. This is just ridiculous.

Got to love The Hockey News take on this series: Basically a rising star team (youngest in the NHL)vs a veteran team that knows this is their last chance at the Cup for a long while and on the way down. Calgary management knows this and so do their fans. It's the natural order of the draft and the rising and falling of teams. The Blackhawks are just beginning their rise to the top. Probably not the Cup this year to be realistic. They will move on past Calgary though. I agree with Hockey News that this is the Flames last gasp for quite a while.

Someone from Toronto talking about class? I nearly spewed my morning coffee while reading that. What a joke.

Mr. Nuts,
Please keep in mind not everyone in Canada shares the same views as those in Toronto, which is the self-proclaimed Centre of the Universe.(They can't even think up something original as Boston was the original Hub of the Universe).

No, I will not cheer for Toews in 2010. I am an American, not a fair weathered patriot. Calgary should follow your first statement, especially Aucoin. You can talk S**t after the series over, but now that I think of it, keep talking and keep making yourself look like a jacka**

I think there is a difference between playing hard and playing cheap. Making hits and a little shoving after the whistle is fair. Punching guys to the head, and taking runs after the wistle isn't, that is dirty playing. The ref's and league has let a lot go in the series, mostly on Calgary's side. During the regular season, if three guys jumped Havlat liek they did the other night, or when Aucoin threw a cheap shot at him, there would have been penalties.
