There is no reason DP should be playing so many games in a row! you can blame Nolan and Snow for this also! So DP sits out finally and Dubie who has not even played a full game is put in...I think we saw what the results were. No one can blame Dubie for this...its not his fault...he has seen no action thus far this season. Why not play DP 8-10 games and then play Dubie? ther eis no reason why DP should be trying the ironman marathon!

What is the answer to this systemic problem? DP should play 72 games per yr and 8-10 for the backup is plenty. Should your backup also be the starter for your minor league team and called up to give the starter a rest for a game?
13-10 and circling the drain. Again, why wait til' we are 5 games under to do something? That's when you are looking to change things instead of needing just a tweaking now! This team has NO catalyst and is very boring..Calling the Committee H-E-L-P

oh boy do we need someone who can put the puck in the net. losing blake and yashins 20+ goals each season has devastated our PP. here's a thought: Since we seem to have a glut of D-men, maybe bundling a holiday package that includes my favorite defensive defenseman (bergeron) with a draft pick or two might entice another team to fall for a bait-and-switch (you know, like we did when we got bergeron).

I know the fatigue excuse was used after the Ranger game, but weren't we just bragging about games in hand on all other teams? Maybe the Isles are getting exposed a little for what they are: a hard working team that relies too much on goaltending because they can't score. that is fine for 15-20 games but over a long season it's not going to work!

No, not really. We have trouble scoring goals, but we didn't just sign superstar forwards to multi-year contracts.
You have enough to worry about with your own team, so why don't you just concentrate on them.

Typical Rags fan response. It's DECEMBER 2. "First place" doesn't mean much. Get over it.

typical fishstick response...saying a rangers fan needs to worry about themselves, rangers fan correctly showing that they are in first place, and fishstick fan saying oh its only december 2nd

lets see what the rangers fans have to worry about....

one of the top defenses in the league,
best goalie in the league
a backup goalie who doesnt give up a touchdown every game and actually performs better then DP

yeah but out forwards arent scoring that much yet, but look to be improving every day they play together

oh yeah and in first place regardless of that problem

OMG i need my stress medication

by the way...i love the comments by islander fans here saying i guess its true what they say that rangers fans are stupid. Last I checked everyone goes out of their way to praise the sport knowledge of new york city team sports fans. Apparently the only people who say that are islanders fans. I dont blame them, jealousy will do that to you.

ENJOY ANOTHER YEAR WITHOUT A PLAYOFF SERIES WIN

Keep remembering the early 80s

I am convinced there are islander fans in their parents basements blasting tiffanys i think im alone now and watching old fuzzy vhs tapes of the last time their team was relevant

You're delusional. You're in first place in December and if that makes you feel better, good for you. You also played more games than the Islanders. You think DP is that bad, yet he usually beats Henrik. Henrik is good, but he's not the best goalie in the league.

Go share your hallucinations with some Rags fans. Surely you can find some.

Hahahahahaha. I'm actually laughing out loud at you. If the Islanders are so irrelevant, why do you waste your precious time on the Islanders' boards writing nonsensical garbage? Guess they're not that irrelevant.

Everyone goes out of their way to praise fans in New York? What? You seriously are delusional.

By a point? Wow. That's your whole response?

Alright, after, what 25, 26 games, the Rangers have a better record. Wow. Now you can get off the (irrelevant--yet you waste enough time here) Islanders' board and go celebrate.

You know, as of right now, there is still not one comment on the article about the Rangers beating Ottawa last night.

You guys would rather comment on the Islanders board about how bad the Islanders are instead of praising your own team on beating a great hockey team.

What does that say about you?

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
