You know, I think Eddie deserves alot more support. He truly is underestimated by many here in South Florida. Look at how far Hasek helped Detroit.
Eddie is in way better shape then Hasek is.

Eddie gets plenty of respect and support. I have said ALL along that I had a feeling that Martin will keep things "status-quo" and go with what's there now. I also think that includes Auld at a discounted rate. He is UFA and after that season last year, he is not going to gain interest anywhere. Cohen could see that a bargain can be found. I don't really agree with this philosophy, but..I see it happening. All that being said, if they keep the goaltending exactly how it was last year, they need to upgrade scoring, and add a solid center, and a solid extra winger. Great signing move with Horton, and Allen for that matter. why do I have a feeling that they'll have a hard time with Weiss. I think they can let him go one more season before they will have to worry, but it's wise to lock him up now

please just keep the picks...we've gotten screwed on deals in the past. go for home-grown talent, you stocked up on picks and now use them. sure, you won't see the results of these picks next year, but that's not what its about. once these kids are ready to play, we'll be on another draft wondering if we should trade for players but won't need to because the talent will be coming from within. Keep the picks, let the kids learn the panthers system. It takes long enough to get accustomed to a new city, new hockey system, new surroundings. Everyone forgets the players are human just like you and me, and the whole point of having homegrown talent is that they are comfortable in the system and have more room to grow.

Who cares if he's Dave's kid or not as long as the kid can contribute. Will be interesting to see what we do with 10 picks.

Are you insane?

Belfour required three hours of back therapy after EVERY game last year!

There is a reason noone else in the League wants this guy (except for cheapskates Martin and Cohen).

Oh, and don't even get me started on his character flaws...

This guy is a violent drunk with criminal records in at least two States. Do you want this guy as the marquis star your kids look up to?

If you do, I feel sorry for you and your kids.

Peace,

WP

Have to admit I don't know a whole lot about hockey-hence the "Marlins gurl" handle-but I do enjoy watching it and can follow it better on tv since I've seen it live. First game I ever saw was Game 4 of the Stanley Cup against the Avs and I've been hooked since!

How 'bout Robbie Niedemeyer finally winning the Cup?

Love my Cats (and not the four-legged kind!)

Say what you all will, but Belfour is a darn good Goalie. His age will prevent him from playing the majority of games but hehas outstanding commitment and his skills are still exemplary. As for character, he's only human. So he has a few drinks and mouths off. If that's the worst, then that's just fine...compared to what others are doing in pro. sports.

Belfour was great, Ive always been an eagle fan but enough is enough allready. I think that Eddie needs to hang'em up, good move guys he wont even play in 1/2 the games this year or ever again.

No trade brewing??? Are you kidding me? He better be lying about that. Get Bryzgalov. He's only 1.4 mil for wo more years and he is a great goalie. Keep Eddie as a backup. We can easily trade Mezie and a 3rd for Bryzgalov and it would be a win win for both teams since Scott Neidermayer is retiring.

So, I guess you have direct phone line to Anaheim GM Burke's office, huh? That deal you propose is ridiculous. Even a crackhead on Hollywood Blvd would turn down that deal.

I agree we need Bryzgalov BAD. But, the deal has to make sense for both clubs.

Well, talk about ridiculous, we got Vokoun!!! and for draft picks only. Even more ridiculous is how you think you know sh1t about hockey, wounded. Please tell me, what part of the deal is no good? what part doesn't make sense?(not that it matters anymore)

Vokun for draft picks is a great deal, that wont hurt your team at all it might even make you better, so good trade but Florida needs more than a goalie and Olie.
