There's no doubt that much of the pertinent information regarding players and contracts are inaccessible to fans. Losing Roloson seemed disasterous at the time, as it did losing Fernandez, yet here we are with the same feelings regarding Backstrom. So, as a fan I cheer for Backstrom and naturally want him to sign and return. But the bottom line is that the team just needs to make sure that the Wild are anchored by a top goalie on a defensive-minded team.

The Canadian idiot of a GM always arrogantly states that the Wild don't do things like other teams and that they have their own plan because he is some sort of Hockey genius. Can somebody tell me what The self proclaimed hockey genius Doug Risebrough's plan is?? It has been ten years and in that time frame he has destroyed this team. Is the plan to gut the team of EVERY SINGLE GOOD PLAYER and ASSET then sell the Houston Aeros Team amd move the Wild to the AHL??? Can SOMEBODY TELL MY WHY THIS CLOWN GETS NO HEAT IN THIS TOWN. HE COMPLETELY AND NEGLIGENTLY SCREWED UP THE GABORIK ISSUE BY NOT TRADING HIM IN THE OFF SEASON KNOWING FULL WELL THAT SLOVAKIAN PLAYERS ARE WOMEN AND ARE ALWAYS HURT AND NOW HE IS GOING TO GET RID OF OUR ONLY OTHER ASSET BACKSTROM?? Why do we put up with this pompous a-s-s! The Predators, Ducks, Dallas Stars and the Lightning have all won Stanely cups and all we have to look forward to is this Clown's master plan??? Can somebody tell me why Wild fans don't go down to St. Paul and demand this clown do something? Why don't Wild fans actual show their displeasure for this glorified AHL team. DR is an idiot for not locking him up this summer. But he waited and then he waited until Backstrom played himself into an All-Star game and now he'll be too expensive to sign.
