The puzzle becomes more complicated. It has been obvious the League has been doing all it can do to keep the Isles from getting into the Playoffs and then to have them eliminated, but the Isles persevere. Is it jealousy because Montreal and Tornto are leiminated by the isles, and have also posed a genuine threat to the Rangers, another favorite League team?

Or is it because, the League knows they have a tainted defenseman and do not want a scandle to occur?

An, why have not other names come out. Certainly, if one man flunks the test in a sport as macho as this, why are there not others? Is the league protecting others?

It is too bad the league has not been honest with its fans, as this is even more detrimental than one case of hiden steroid usage.

Above all, it is tragic for a team that has performed near miracles. Is it fair to the players, fans and even the media for the League not to have done something sooner?

What a mess - what a tragedy, and by holding back and manipulating the situation the League has badly hurt its already poor image.

I am suprised that the conspiracy theorists aren't saying that the league's decision on this a handful of hours before game time was just another way in which the league was trying to fix this series. But that would make about as much sense as all the other conspiracy theories.

Instead, Hill used an illegal substance. He got caught. He appealed. He lost the appeal. He did wrong and was given the punishment that both the league and players union agreed on. If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at the guy that cheated.

Also, be mad at your big game guys that did not perform, particularly Yashin and Satan. Buffalo's captains combined for 10 playoff points. They had their defense step up, and others played out of character. In last night's game Roy and Afinogenov got their first playoff goals of the year, while Stafford scored his first playoff goal ever. Zubrus battled in the corners and set up goals, and Connelly coming back from missing 80 out of 82 games had a big impact.

There is a lot wrong on the Island, so start there, and then get into league conspiracies.

The appeals process suddenly ends right after the Islanders complain about the call at the end of game 4. Given the bitter unprofessional comments Colin Campbell made towards the Islanders this week and past NHL management snafus (VS. TV contract), the timing of this must at least be questioned. These are pretty much the same guys who basically just lied about Brett Hull's skate in the crease.

Drugs have no part in the game of hockey... the isles lose the series and a player.... the worst of is that they lost respect through out the league with their druggie player.... or players ??.... their rep is in question....

Hill Says he didn't take anything. jose Theodore said the same thing and was exonerated so I am interested to see what happened during this whole process. Especially why it wasn't announced during his appeal. Shouldn't be surprises on drug tests. If it is positive, let it be known and let the player appeal. Congrats to Buffalo and the Islanders played tough. Regier has put together a great program

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Pisces

You have a one track mind today, dear Pisces, and it's running along very ambitious lines, absolutely determined to achieve something you've been attempting for ages. Can you be so committed that you're prepared to let everything else go by the wayside for the time being? That's great, but don't become obsessive about it.
