Bill wrote: <quoted text> And Okposo has the potential to be just as awesome. Again, not my words but professional scouts and analysts. Which brings me back to my original point: that virtually none of these scouts and analysts project Okposo to be merely a "serviceable" player. They all project him to be a player at least worthy of comparison to Iginla. One even compares his potential to Shanny. So when Ms. Howard wrote that Okposo was projected to be a "serviceable" player, she wasn't merely being obnoxious. She was also lying. I expect NY Post writers to lie to their readers. I expect better of Newsday writers. Ms. Howard's column isn't just an insult to Islander fans. It disgraces a fine newspaper. she's not really lying since she doesn't know what she is talking about... Its more ignorance..

I don't want to seem unreasonable, but she wrote: The Isles' best young player, Kyle Okposo, projects as a serviceable player but not a huge star. The implication of that comment is that she has looked at the scouting reports and knows what is expected of Kyle. Now either she knew what the scouts and analysts have said and lied about that or she lied in implying that she knew what those experts said. Either way, her comment was dishonest and that was not the only example I could cite from this piece of trash that she wrote. I simply don't have the time to waste pointing them out.

No body gave the Tampa Rays a chance of doing anything either and yet here they are. No huge stars, just a team that has learned to work together as a group. I am not saying this is going to happen with the Islanders but I am not saying it will not either. Stranger things have happened. It is time for Bergenheim to have a breakout year and become a leader.

Good point... however, Tampa Bay had the #1 for about 10 straight years...it was bound to work out sometime... the Isles problem is that they havent sucked enough.. the suck enough to finish 20th... they need a dead last finish to get a star and rebuild around him.. ala Sid and AO

Time to come back to reality I'm very much in reality...All I said was basically Lets go rangers. I didn't say anything about being Stanley Cup champs at all. Wasn't trying to offend anyone or start anything...just saying that I love the rivalry between the rangers/Isles.
