Chicago Blackhawks fall 3-1 to Vancouver Canucks

Full story: Chicago Tribune

If the Blackhawks are following a script during their Western Conference semifinals against the Vancouver Canucks , its title must be "Play With Fire" and they're sticking to it to the letter.

Lots of talk about momentum after game two from Hawk land.
I don't think momentum plays a huge part game in and game out. Todays Canuck win was excellent but each game is a different entity in itself, so far this series is a testament to that. Who knows what game 4 will bring?

Byfuglien: shameful unsportsmanlike conduct. Don't even need to say what/where/when, everyone knows the "Avery" moment I'm referring to. Pathetic fatty.

Actually i think the Hawks were a bit surprised by the jump the Canucks had. Perhaps all the press about momentum and having the advantage got to their heads. Hopefully, if the pattern continues, they will respond.

Canucks are a much classier team and it showed tonight. Byfuglien is a good pest but I believe he will have no impact for the rest of the series. Luongo is the best goalie in the league and can deal with this Jabrone! The Canucks responded big time and proved to the media that its not over. Habby is a joke and we'll continue to own him like we have since 1998. Canucks in 5!

That's what the Hawks get for talking all that trash after tying the series. Maybe Kane will think the next time he decides to say an all-star, all-world goalie's confidence is "shattered" after one game.

He actually said "shattered"? OMG that's hilarious, what a drama queen. Foot in mouth much?

Regardless of the outcome of this series, I am very impressed by the Chicago fans cheering the Canadien National Anthem at UC at the beginning of Game 3. It was much appreciated... your fans have a lot of class.

Byfuglien taunting Luongo when Vancouver held a 3-1 lead was laughable. The inexperience is starting to prove costly for you Hawks. Future seasons may be bright, but the present one is going to be over soon.

Sure there are fans in Chicago, Fred. But it's 5 AM, and we're, you know, getting ready for work. You know what work is, don't you?

The team that deserved to win last night did so. We'll give it another try Thursday. We've responded after poor performances before. No reason to think we can't do it again.

I guess that goes to show you what kind of Canuck fans you are. Can't wait until the story is posted to bash the Hawks for losing game three...pathetic!
I will say this, Vancouver was the better team last night. The Hawks continue to take penalties which prohibit them from gaining any type of momentum. They definitely beat themselves.
Kane had a horrible game. He didn't pick up the late man on the first goal and took a stupid penalty on the second. Keith had a rough game as well. Maybe a little too confident coming in? I think they will be a different team on Thursday. They have to be!

The sin bin problem is still there for the hawks.I think the inexperience is showing also,This year is definitely a year of learning for the young hawks heart, soul, mind, and body.I believe this season is great for them to come so far in the playoffs.Coach Q can only direct them so much, with this year as a great building block,I see good things for the hawks in the years to come.GO HAWKS,stay healthy and hungry and PLEASE no penalities. P.S. Can you also get a 3 or more goal lead bythe end of the first period? THANKS!

The Blackhawks have a great young team. They are giving us (the Canucks) fits. I think they were over confident, because they have come back six times when down two or more goals in a game. That's impressive, but it's also a stat that was bound to change. I look for a more conservative and grittier effort from the Hawks in game 4. The problem for the Hawks is this: this year's edition of the Canucks likes winning.

I put this loss on the back of coach "Q"! Not sure when it happened, but shortly after the goal q gave buff "a little talking to" on the bench. DONE life sucked out of team! Buff was FINALLY getting into Luango's head (who cares that it was right after the goal and the ref's had to separate them). But q should have said NOTHING to buff. Maybe even a pat on the arse. They looked slow/tired/fatigued except for one shift. Call it what you wont the look like crap! I think the "kids" were told to keep there emotions in check! One of the biggest games in your life and your told NOT to be excited? They looked like they weren't even having any fun?

When a visiting team comes into our barn and plays a near perfect road game, takes 22,000 fans out of the game early, I tip my hat to that team. When our blog is loaded with trolls that were nowhere to be found after their team lost 6-3 I ignore them.
Any comments on the game are appreciated but spare us the B.S. AS far as I could see the Canucks stayed with their game play last night.Tough forecheck on our d-men when the tried to move the puck, really concentrated on Seabrook hitting him as soon as he touched the puck. Canucks kept the shooting and passing lanes closed and stopped our puck cycle in their end. They kept Luongo's sight lines open and he will stop you all day if he can see the shot coming.
The series isn't over in spite of what the trolls may think. Hawks didn't play hard enough to will last night did't seem to have a lot of jump.Lot of work to get done in practise todat so LETS GET AT IT! GO HAWKS!!

Ok you Vancouver fan.(notice singular in reference). When/If Canada ever gets it's trophy back you can talk, but until then please be very quiet. You are embarrassing your self beyond repair. The Hawks are THE YOUNGEST team in the NHL. You so called "pro" up in the great white north predicted the Hawks to be done in the 1st round. We are now in the second round and giving the best your country has to offer all it can Handel. So until the series is over please keep your postings to TSN.
