I thought teams couldn't be 5% over the cap during the Summer months before training camp?

Oh Oh, no money and no 1st or 2nd line NHL caliber players. Who is going to score a goal? Seriously, how in the world are the Wild going to not get the #1 pick in the draft next year? I think I will take the year off and watch high school and college. Go Wild but not with my money and time this year.

Wild need size up front. Look at Calgary's defense for the upcoming season! They are in Wild's division.

1) Bouwmeester 6'4" 212
2) Phaneuf 6'3" 214
3) Aucoin 6'2" 212
4) Pardy 6'4" 220
5) Sarich 6'4" 207

We'll only see Koivu, Nolan, Brunette, and Clutterbuck below the offensive zone faceoff dots. I predict PMB will have the "Calgary flu" this season. Fletcher said he wants the Wild to dictate play. I know it going to take time, but the Wild won't be dictating anything without "presence" on the ice. That doesn't include Boogard either. Wild need players who play can play 5-5 consistently in all three zones.

I've been a Wild fan since they were brought into the league... but I have been watching what has been happening in FA and so far Hossa has signed and so has the Sedin Twins. I hear that Edmonton is close to signing Cammerelli and they also are the top runners in getting Heatley. Havlat is prolly gonna sign in LA and Gaborik is not coming back. What the hell are the Wild gonna do now??? Everyone in the division is getting better except the Wild... Sakku would be a good pickup but not worth getting excited about for the season. I will still cheer for the Wild this season but Fletcher you cant get everyone excited by saying that you are gonna make a splash and all you have done is get a high school boy from MN.

The Wild desperately need a big-time goal scorer and should set aside the largest part of their available salary for that: Backstrom is signed for the long term now so they could sign Harding knowing they could move him and his salary, although they'd better be sure to have an able back up before shipping Josh off somewhere!

Same crap, different GM. Cammalleri, Hossa, Spacek, Komisarek, Bouwmeester, etc all off the market. What have the Wild done so far? NOTHING! Come on Chuckie, get it done. The team you got isn't going to do squat without some offensive firepower.

Gaborik will go to a major market - but he will be a risk bc of his history of injuries. He would be a bad risk for the Wild bc fans know how few times he has played over the last few years and there are other probably better free agents out there.

Happy New Year, Capricorn! I don't think the hair of the dog will help much this morning! If you're socialising again today, keep a rein on your expenses, as there could be a slight confusion in financial matters. Friends will be at your side and bail you out if there is a crisis. Use your strong internal discipline to accomplish your personal goals this year.
