I meet Shelley several times when he was playing with Columbus and he has always been a great guy to talk to. I was a little scared the first time I talked to him however he made me feel like best friends. I started watching hockey because of Jody. I was in the Marines for the first 5 years the Blue Jackets were around however my dad became a huge fan. He finally talked me into going to a game with hime and all of my friends said hockey sucked. I went for the beer and pizza and left very happy. The Jackets were getting killed as normal and look slow compared to the other team. I was about to fall asleep when I saw the gloves hit the ice. Shelley was fighting with somebody and it went of for atleast a minute. After that the Jackets looked faster and we came back to win in a shoot out. The following two season I had season tickets, however this season I do not buy them because Shelley is with that team down south. I had to but NHL center ice to watch my boy play. It was well worth it.
