This title is a little misleading "Ducks powerless to stop Shark attack". Yes the Sharks were on the attack most of the night, and the Ducks got a lucky goal from Nabby, but the Ducks did plenty well to make it a one goal game.

Well said, while the Sharks played well, the Ducks gave them two goals as a result of lapse...awful pass right to a Sharks D-man and leaving Marleau alone in front of the crease.

While this title is a little off base, even more embarrassing is the NHL's "official" site. They titled the game recap as "That's Better"!?!?!? Now if that ain't calling favorites, what is??? Anybody else wonder if Buttman's NHL (include refs) really do play to favorites?

First, yes I am a Ducks fan, and will admit to a "fan's bias"
But I have been a long time fan (*Rangers) since the 70's.
It is pretty clear the NHL plays favorites (see Detroit, ANY Canadian team and yes the Rangers quite often).
But man is there a bias against the Ducks in the league. Versus coverage last night was pretty bad, and the officiating has been pretty one sided.
Now the NHL media coverage is showing the same.
Buttman sux, but man, what did the Ducks do to piss this league off.? They aren't "Mighty" any more and Disney does not own them, so what gives?
maybe Repugs run NHL

perhaps retribution for Owner Samueli's legal troubles? I really don't know, but the Ducks are the most penalized team in th e league, get short shrift on TV coverage even though their highly succesfula nd entertaining, upstaging the Kings even though they have a much shorter history.

If ownership issues are the cause, a good percentage of teams with owbers that have been approved during Bettman's watch would be in the same boat.
I still thibk the NBA sent Bettman to the NHL so he would ruin a competitor league.
He's the biggest POS of all the commissioners
And that is saying something in that community

So, in the Ducks Sharks game getzlaf gets puck in his own zone, gets by D'man and gets tripped. No call. Because it's late in the 3rd!
Of course the phantom hook in game 3 against Perry was okay in a tie game.
The NHL is slowly sinking into the same pit as wrestling.

Today, the Sharks further widened their gap over the Ducks.
Jeremy Roenick was strong late, and the other Sharks held off a determined attack at Roenick's recently purchased golf course.
JR mentioned that there was no way, with the Ducks win today in Detroit that the Ducks would be prepared for the golf season.
"They have simply gone too far in reason years in the playoffs to match up with us on the golf course. They caught up a little last year, but we got 'em now" said Roenick before he went back to trash his hotel room
