Where did all the Hawk fans go.......... oh yeah I forgot your all a bunch of bandwagoner's, Hawks lose, won't jump back on until next year when MAYBE they make the playoffs again. Pathetic!

Sorry Detn09. In Chicago, we have hundreds of options of things to do on weekend nights...as opposed to Detroit: get car-jacked, watch the city fall apart. Sweet life. Hold on to your Wings as long as you can, it's all you have.

P.S. It's "you're" all a bunch, not "your" a bunch. Pick up a book from time to time you nitwit.

Next year can't come fast enough.
The roar is back! Just watch the Hawks next year. A Stanley Cup in Chicago is real possibility. We need Havlet and Kabby back next year. Both have a few good years left. Hope both sign contracts to stay. I don't think either wants to leave. Having two outstanding goalies would be great. Like I said, "Next year can't come fast enough"! |

Listen to this Detroit trash. Go find a job. Douche.
|

The Hawks are at the cap limit now.Huet and Soupy hit them hard in the wallet last year.Tallon will have to beg to keep either one here.And the Hawks will have to find cheap help like Hossa some time in the future.
|
||||

They can keep almost everyone they need if the take back loaded contracts. Which i expect most will do to stay here and with a winner.

I cant wait to see you chumps dissapear after the Wings get trounced the next week or so. |

Sad reality in the NHL is that you simply can't keep the same team in place for long.
Keep Marty, if he can take a bit of a home town discount. Khabby will be gone unless he really will play for a lot less on a 1 year deal. Don't see that happening, but fact is he was only good in his contract year. Maybe injuries were the culprit, but.......... I guess all the Wang trash is still here because they expect to get smoked by Crosby and Co. Maybe they do know something about hockey. As to the "bandwagon" cr**, well those who are old enough to recall know that the Dead Wings hadn't many fans for years before their resurgence. |

Hey Brighton, want to know the definition of "pathetic"....0-16 NFL team.

I'd like to apologize for any assinine comments by Wings fans. I'm all for the trash when the series is on, part of the fun, but it's over. The Hawks learned a lesson in what it takes to be a champion. Now the accountants will do what they can to build another contender for next year.
I love the Detroit area, it's home and all of the folks who are trying to make themselves feel better about their lot in life somehow with cracks like "as opposed to Detroit: get car-jacked, watch the city fall apart. Sweet life." from the post by Alex are just as idiotic. Peace out.. Wings over the Pens in 7... Crosby thought he was heartbroken last year, just wait. |

Let's be real here. There's absolutely no way that Khabibulen will be back. Havlet perhaps, but Khabby, no way. Quenneville probably said the most accurate statement that i think i've ever heard when he says " Predictability in our business can be tough".
After three pretty much sub par seasons with Khabilbulen, the Blackhawks figured they best get their goaltending settled before Khabby played out his contract. So they actually overpaid for Huet, never figuring that Khabby would play like the old Khabby and outplay Huet. So now they're stuck with huge money due to Huet for the next 3 seasons, and Khabby a free agent isn't going to agree to take less money than the guy he just outplayed, and who could blame him. And since obviously the Blackhawks can't afford over 12 mil. a season for goalies another 3 years, there's no option other than watching Khabby leave. As Quenne says, predictabilty is tough. |

Dtn09: Nice of you to come back on a Chicago Blackhawks article and post your i*d*i*o*t*i*c drivel. Very few people are going to read your garbage, so you're wasting your time. Me thinks you protest too much. Of course you would not understand that last statement.If you were a decent "so called" Wings and hockey fan you would be looking forward to the series against Pittsburgh and let the win over the Hawks go. You're sophomoric commentary is sad. You wouldn't get that last statement either.

Learn from a guy like Octo Joe. That's an example of a good hockey fan and an obviously nice guy.

Nice comment Octo Joe. Barbing back and forth during a series is one thing. Carrying on afterward is classless. You dont need to apologize for fellow fans who are nitwits. We have plenty of our own here in Chicago as well.
No way Khabby returns. They could not give him away earlier this year, and with 3 years left on Huets deal, you can't commit another big chunk of cash to a goalie. The Hawks need help elsewhere, like a big, tough, capable forward for example. As for Havlat, nice player, but is he tough enough for a Stanley Cup playoff drive? I would see what other options are available first. Then there is Campbells ridiculous contract, that very well still may be Tallons undoing. 7 years left for a guy that neither played good defense NOR scored many goals in 08-09. But gee, he is fast though huh? Big deal. |

Octo Joe you are right trash talk is for during the series. Look the Hawks were one of the last 4 teams left, so they don't suck. I think that during the next year or so they are going to restructure Campbell's contract. That can be done all they have to do is tear up the contract. IF you look and see what the Wings have done it is a blue print for the Hawks cap mgt.
Also I do see them resigning Havlat, but not Khabby. Khabby gets hurt too often so we shall see what team takes a risk on him. I was wondering about all of the FA's and UFA's that the Hawks have. I believe Versteeg is one, and not sure who else |

Ok well I found it on the Hawks site. The Restricted Free Agents are Cam Barker, Bolland, Brouwer, Eager, Fraser, Johnson, and Versteeg.
UFA's are Havlat, Khabby, Pahlsson, and Matt Walker. |
|||
|
To the lingering Det fans: Your team is in the finals, concentrate on that and head to the Pitt blogs to continue the trash talk.
Tim: After looking at that list I would keep Bolland,Versteeg, Brouwer,Eager,Barker...Fraser, Johnson, Walker? Eh not so much...Pahlsson?50/50 Havlat yes but not at anything over 2yrs at maybe 3 mil...No doubt Bulin is history |

Tony I am with you on resigning all but Walker. I would let him and Khabby go. So what about sopel, do they get rid of him
