Staal gets redemption with Rangers' winning goal

The officiating in this game went downhill in the 2nd period. I couldnt believe what was being called and what was not being called.

Thankfully, the Rangers fought through everything and pulled out a huge win.

Great win. I agree the officials were terrible. How do you not call that trip on Gomez.

The officiating has been horrendous, but it was nice to see Staal get a chance to redeem himself and score the game winner. I hope the Rangers can finish off The Devils and move to the next round.

Additional new NHL rules now in effect:

1. Brodeur can skate anywhere outside of the crease and if a Devil defenseman shoves a Ranger into him, it is goaltender interference.

2. Anytime that Brodeur jumps in the air like he just stepped on a land mine or flops around on the ice like a beached tuna, somebody's going off, preferably Avery, even if he is on the bench or in the locker room.

3. Avery is not allowed to even look at opposing players or he will get 2 minutes for "intent to commit a penalty or otherwise dishonor the proud tradition of the NHL" and it is open season on Avery for opposing players who can trip, cross-check or interfere with him repeatedly and at any time, and even go to his hotel and go through his luggage, all with the blessing of Gary Betteman and the NHL.

Get some decent referees out there for playoff games. It is an embarrassment.

How can anyone root for the ranger$ after what Avery did. That was one of the worst things ive seen in sports. Dont talk to me about steroids in baseball, that was a lot worse. A complete joke!
