Vermette scores in regulation and shootout as Senators edge Flyers 3-2

Well, at least the flyers were able to get a point out of the game. They did a really good job defending the Spezza line and for all the injuries the flyers are suffering, they did a really good job against a senators team that was completely healthy. The flyers probably would have won if they had Lupul in the lineup, but oh well. The refs were awful in the game, as Lasse Kukkonen was continually roughed up with hooks and cross checks, yet the refs wouldnt call anything. The Jeff Carter breakaway annoyed me cause he was clearly hooked and would have scored on Emery. But that's what happens when you're in a slump, nothing goes right...

I don't care what anyone says...it doesn't matter what Dev says, what any flyers-hater says, they will not miss the playoffs. I know they will get through this, and they've already gotten through the worst of their problems. I am so sure that they will make the playoffs because 1.) The flyers have an easier March schedule than their division opponents, 2.)Only one team from the southeast division will make the playoffs, that being the division leader, 3.)Montreal and Ottawa are the only two teams in the North East that are pretty much locked up for a playoff berth, so the only other team from that division that will make it is either Boston or Buffalo, 4.) 4 teams are going to make it from the atlantic division: Devils, Penguins, Rangers, and Flyers....Devils and Penguins are definitely in, and the Rangers will really start to heat up in the last 20 games, and flyers will start to really pick it up in March.
