10-1-1 in the last 12 games. Not bad. I'm sure Cote's butt wuppin helped the confidence last night. The team is finally starting to mold.

I just hope they aren't peaking too early.

Good point. They had their slump, but they usually have at least 2 a season. Only time will tell.

Even if the flyboy's don't make a run this spring(the east is tight) they are playing some entertaining hockey.

Ottawa downed. Now how about we beat Jersey tonight! We'll worry about Pittsburgh and holding onto first place tomorrow. Chase Brodeur from the crease and make him a spectator! Go Flyers!

Tonight will be the test. The Devils seem to always have our number no matter who is on their team. There is only one explanation for that. Martin Broduer. The best goalie in the history of the game IMO.

Bernie Parente and Vlad Tretiak would argue that point, but he is in the top 5.

I think the only one you listed he isn't better then is Roy, but of course I wasn't really paying attention to much of the league when I was younger, and of course, Cujo, Plante and Espisito are a bit before my memory can recall, as are quite a few you listed. Uh, Hasek and Hextall are up there too, for what it's worth.

I have to agree. He's the only goalie that's had average players in front of him and still had/has a stellar GAA. He'd have been a great Broad Street Bully!

For consistency and longevity, especially on a team that was never loaded with firepower, Brodeur is the best.
Roy was good until you got two in up high on him, then he'd let in a bunch. Hasek could be great one year, then a major distraction and pain in the ass the rest, Cujo never won the big prize even with Detroit (a team that won cups with Osgood and Vernon, of all goalies), Dryden was fantastic when the pressure was on but wasn't in the league that long.
Fuhr, Barrasso, Irbe, Belfour, Smith, Ranford (and even Cheevers) all had top offensive teams when they won(usually winning 6-4).
No goalie carried his team to the extent Marty did.

Hasek is up there also... Hextall is not in the top 100 as far as I am concerned.... He was flamboyant, but wasn't really that good of a stopper !

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Cancer

Discussions and meetings go really well today because you're finding it easy to put your thoughts into words. You'll also show that you respect other people's viewpoints even if they don't coincide with your own. It's a good day for making domestic plans, and some of these will be quite ambitious without being unrealistic or far-fetched.
