Monts, go back to your Canucks boards, and stay off the Panthers. It was a sloppy game, yes, but they rallied for 3 goals in the third. They held Ovechkin to 0 points. Vokoun looked good in net. The second goal, I was wondering what was going on in his head, but he held strong for the whole game. Good to see Olez score on his first game back. Lets beat the Hurricanes now. Go Cats !!!

For who? I think the Panthers played a pretty good game, despite it being dictated to them by their matching up with Ovechkin. Panthers seemed to be running around and tired in the last half of the third, but still managed to score and win. Hopefully this won't affect them in Carolina on Saturday.

Weiss +3, Olesz with a goal, Norton with a sniper's move... these are the things that the Panthers need and need now. What a freaking shame Atlanta came back to win their game.

Wow, love the post from years past, Sun-Sentinel. Excellent.

Sickening how the worst announcing team in hockey needed to both start and finish their broadcast by slamming JayBo. JayBo is the best talent this team has seen since Pavel Bure and the most hard working and well-rounded one ever.

Obviously he is outta here at his earliest opportunity and I don't blame him at all. Obviously the team knows it, and as the classless organization they are, they decide to go totally negative so as the idiot rah-rah fans don't start asking themselves why this team was so totally inept in its handling of yet another franchise centerpiece talent.

Shame, shame, shame on everyone at Panther's management. This is why the Panthers will never attract top quality talent and this is why the organization will continue to lose any rising stars they happened to be lucky enough to acquire at the earliest opportunity.

This is why class characters like Gary Roberts wanted out in the middle of a season and three-time cup winner Joe Nieuwendyk wouldn't even stay on in a cushy no-effort advisory position at a high salary in spite of having a home in the area. They don't want their names attached to any of this teams inept and totally classless behavior.

F - u - c - k the Panthers.

41 wins is a very good season and shows the progress we are making. Booth had a monster game.

Yes, Potvin, we're making progress. In the 11 seasons since we went 1-4 in a playoff series, we have progressed to ... uh ... where exactly??

How many playoff games have we won since then?

How many playoff games have we even showed up in since then?

Oh, yeah. Let's not blame the franchise for its history. After all, history is in the past, and we just like to look forward! So let's celebrate our 41 wins! We needed 42, but, gosh, 41 is still swell!

No need to remember we also have 41 losses, though. No need to be negative. We can hang our hat on not finishing below .500 for a change!

And so what if we broke our "Playoff Promise". Heck, it's not like we actually promised to make the playoffs - geeze, that would have been silly. We just promised to give away free tickets when we missed the playoffs again. Well, not REALLY free. You still have to pay building fees and parking surcharges. But what's a few bucks between friends?

So - Potvin - did you get your season tickets for next year yet? Of course you did! Had to get them early while they're still the same price as this year! And to make sure you got priority on playoff seating! And even though you get one fewer game next year for the money -- a "true fan" won't mind.

What does one game matter?

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Cancer

If you want to avoid having a row with someone, get out and about as much as possible today so you can work off all your nervous energy. If you stay in one place for too long you'll be in danger of becoming moody, and possibly even a right old crosspatch. You might also lose your temper with loved ones who are being bolshie or who have the audacity to disagree with you about something. Lighten up, Cancer!
