Who ever wrote this article did not do their homework. Chelios left Chicago on his own when his contract expired and signed as a free agent with Detroit. This is after he announced in a public interview that he would never sign with Detroit, and he swore on his 3 childrens lives that he wouldn't. I guess money was more important than his kids lives. He was not traded to Detroit.
