I was really hoping to see the Hawks back in the playoffs this year but I felt this was a most win for them. They've played Detroit tough all year and they certainly battled tonight but unless they finish the season like 10-2 they should probably start making golf reservations. Sucks! Good season boys.

Crawford played great. The Hawks had 1 line going (Bolland,Buff and Bourque). The team looked flat and out of gas. 3 game winless streak is now upon us. 12 games left can the Hawks go 11-1 ? Doubt it. I just hope they don't finish with a losing streak. With hopes fading i'd like to see more of Crawford...Dig deep boys,12 to go let's finish strong!

The future was between the pipes and did a fantastic job. It's early and the goaltending game is strange the way guys come and go and come back again, but he looks like the real thing to me. The game shows why the Wings are where they are and where the Hawks are in the standings. The key next year is to not have these losing streaks! This team just is too streaky . At least winning streaks have been a part of their game. I agree with you Tony: Let's finish this season with a huge WINNING streak. Tony: looks like you don't have to set aside that time in April. Disappointing, but let's face it , it has been a uphill climb all season. Keep the legs moving boys!

Crawford was amazing. Being a Goalie myself there are certain things I look for in NHL goaltenders; style and composure. Crawford displayed a beautiful Quebec butterfly all night and was composed.

It will be fun to see this kid in net for years to come. You have to go back to Belfour before you can name a hawks goalie we could rely on.

If the hawks could have eliminated those long losing streaks we would still be right in the thick of things. Losing 8 in a row more than one time this year really set us back.

The future is bright now, but I still won't sink to Cubs mentality of "there is always next year."

Finish strong and show some pride!!

Double whammy last night, the hawks lose and Phoenix wins. Hopes for the playoffs looking dimmer today. Crawford played a great game. In post game comments he gave credit to the D for clearing rebounds, the guy has class. Crawford looks like a big part of the future. Hate to sound negative put when your goal tender plays the game of his life and allows only 2 goals on 46 shots the offence lost the game.
But as the old Brooklyn Dodgers fans used to say ** wait til next year**. The Hawks have the best core of young players in the NHL, we are 2 players away from contending for the cup. Lets keep supporting the guys for the rest of the season, never know what can happen. GO HAWKS!

I was impressed with Crawford, and I think they should play him in every game for the remainder of this year. Not to sound like I have given up but the light is almost out on the Hawks making the playoffs. So lets start looking at Crawford and get him some more experience. He is going to be the goalie of the future so I really hope they play him. This year was so much better than previous years and they did better than anyone expected. So hopefully they finish the year on a strong note and hold their heads high.

They won't make the playoffs in a league where every team makes the playoffs. Look how concerned everyone is about it 10 comments. Hear come the Hawks with their homer fans, take the attack...not! NO ONE CARES! Chicago, corruption pot holes, homer fans...no thanks.

It's pretty easy to jump on here with 12 games left and say the Hawks aren't going to make the playoffs. Way to go out on a limb..

Bryan, look the guy is from Elgin, we should all feel sorry for him, I think he probably has a 3rd grade education. Tony is right very easy for people to slam the Hawks at this point. They are a much improved team this year. Maybe they will miss the playoffs this year but there are more people going to the games and supporting the team. And the goal for next year will be making the playoffs. Real Hawks fans know that the team is looking ahead at a very bright future.

You could have made this call at the beginning of the season. Hawks win the Stanley Cup, Cubs win the World Series, and earth gets hit by a meteorite the size of the moon. We gone! All the hawks and cubs homers will survive and they can start a new religion based on how the hawks and cubs dominated sports. Finally! Delivery guy is sleeping, maybe with Bryan, pizzas to deliver tonight. Here come the hawks...

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
