Hard hitting hockey is the way to beat Montreal.
The Russian vanish when you start the hitting game.
Last night I thought the Flyers could have hit a lot more than they did AND I'm hoping back in Philly they do!
Good win! Biron came up big!

Philly got a few lucky breaks. Montreal must have missed at least 4 open nets in the first period alone. I don`t think Philly will be so lucky next game.

As for the hitting. Montreal did more hitting then Philly. This isn`t the Philly team from the 70`s. Unless you want to call knee on knee hitting.

I`ll take those Russian players over the players from Philly anyday.

This series will be over come game five in Montreal. You heard it here first, mark my words.

I think you are right Bob Gainey. There is no possible comparison between Montreal and Philadelphia. Montreal wins the next 3 games.

If Montreal is so good how did they miss 4 open net shots?
BTW. I am not saying the Habs are a bad team. They definately are not. I think the series could go either way. I just hope it goes Philly's way.

Go Flyers!!!

Hey i dont doubt that the Canadiens can win the series...i originally picked the Habs to win in 6 games. However, i don't think the Canadiens will win both games in Philly, even though they have the best road record in the Eastern Conference during the regular season...especially since the regular season stats dont really mean anything come playoff time.

Anything can happen during the playoffs also...look at the Sharks-Stars series. San Jose is the favorite to win that series and win it all. Yet, Dallas is up 2-0 in that series, and they're the road team. I know that series isn't over, but stil...

No matter what happens in the regular season the playoffs are way different and so the flyers have an excellent team to match up agianst the habs, they ill crush the habs in 6 games, the are meaner and tougher, with briere and prospal going at 100% i dont foresee a montreal win in this series.

Don't be so sure. Montreal wasn't the best in the Eastern division for nothing. This series will go a least 6 if not seven!!

I would be surprised if it does'nt go to seven. Your right. They were'nt the best for nothing. Of course that in no way means they are unbeatable.

Despite the fact that I personaly feel thet hatcher should be kicked out of the league for a deliberate attempt to injur permanently,

I WILL ADMIT...right now, Philly desrves this series !!!

they have outhussled Montreal to every single puck!

save for the entire 3rd period last night, they have won all the battles!

but last night in the 3rd, the HABSshowed they are capable of raising their game, and for 20 minutes at least last nite, Philly was at the mercy of a thankfully solid BIRON !!!

at this rate I am guessing Philly in 6 !

I do NOT LIKE IT, but hey, let's give credit where it is due !!!

This game is going seven. I say this because the Flyers keep going to the penalty box. If they think the refs are calling it one way then don't give them a reason to call one on you. When Downie gets high sticked in the face behind the Habs net in front of the ref and there is no call, you know the refs are going to look your way if your wearing the Orange and Black. Just don't give them a reason. If they do call any phamtom calls as they have. Just remember that you have Biron in net and the Habs are being frustrated by him.

I think the next game will tell a lot about the way the series will play out. If Philly comes out
and gets back to crash the net Flyers hockey it's as good as done. If they're tenative trying to rely on defense and Biron to continue to stand on his head to steal them games, Montreal will quickly gain the momentum they've been lacking and most likely take control of the series. The bottom line.......This is awesome Hockey and the Flyers have nothing to loose and we already love 'em. Montreal will be demoralized by there city and fans if they loose to the 6th ceed.
GO Flyers!!!!!!!!

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Pisces

You're raring to go today, especially on domestic projects. You'll achieve a tremendous amount if you're allowed to proceed at your own pace and in your own time, but you'll soon get ratty if you suspect someone is breathing down your neck or trying to tell you what to do. You'll also feel irritated with people you know really well, so be prepared for a few fireworks.
