One of the worst officiated games I have ever seen. I could not believe the number of flagrant fouls that were not called. Then to turn around and give Avery a 10 minute misconduct for talking!

this game, the last game against carolina, and the montreal game where the refs swallowed their whistles after the "classy montreal fans" took a cue out of the fishstick fanbook by throwing things on the ice, were some badly reffed games.

Rangers should send a video to the home office.

Notes & Quotes, "May Play tomorrow afternnon in Philadelphia" Sadly the facts are Rangers play Sunday at Home against Philly. You get paid to do this? Least you could do is know when and where the next game is, seems to be a minimum competency for a professional.

Crunch time's a coming, and despite being somewhat disappointed w/Rangers over-all performance for part of the season,It's good to see they're hitting the afterburners now when it really counts!

Staal did NOT high stick Cole. That was Backman, but thanks to the incredible officiating, they charged the wrong guy with the penalty.
You must read the AP article and then just write your own article from it. Man, that's pathetic.
(If Backman has two more games like that one, you won't see him again.)

"With the Rangers up 3-1, Marc Staal's stick caught Cole in the nose and he drew a four-minute penalty."

Um no, it was clearly Backman's stick. I hope that you were at the game with no chance at a replay because the MSG telecast showed that it was CLEARLY Backman.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Taurus

It's important that you keep that famous bull-headedness in check over the next couple of weeks. Be cool, calm and sensible and you'll find that you end up with things correctly and tidily done. Stick to the straight and narrow, no matter what the distractions or irritations around you. If you think outside the square, you'll begin to see how visualisation can change and shape your life. Trust your hunches and be ready to move on them.
