Get rid of all of them except Verteeg. Barker is a chronic underformer; Johnson was worthliess this year and should have been traded retroactively (to 2007); Eager is just a bully on ice - too many PIM, not enough performance; Brouwer and Fraser could each use another year (or two) in Rockford. No harm, no foul (or penalty).

Who cares, this is a Cubs town.

Should it turn out that this deadline was missed then Dale Tallon MUST be fired. A mistake of this magnitude is inexcusable and means something else was more important than doing the job right--maybe he should go do that thing full time!

Why wait until the last minute to deliver these notices? Fire the responsible party and move on.

Cam Barker was one of the best players for the Hawks in the post season.
