It is amazing how many idiots are out there.. The same fans that were probably cheering them last year are talking s**t this year..

You forget that the management that almost everyone says sucks is the same manangement that turned around a team from near bankruptcy and not selling out a game to a one of the hottest teams in the league and selling almost everygame out..

Your right they are morons.. Who wants that..

They made choices that fans do not like.. Welcome to the real world... And i am sure if next season the Sabres do well and Broere, Campbell, and Drury are washed up most everybody will be calling the management the best ever. Because most of you are all hypicrits that need to get a life..

Playoffs or not (the Bills included) I'd rather live in Buffalo, than a city that doesn't have a pro football or hockey team.
Better luck next year guys!

Thankyou management for sabatog of a great team. Now we are the farm team of the NHL. I dont think that Briere, Drury, and Campbell could have been dealt with any worse than they were. thanks again.

Ha the jokes on you loser fans I bought an already talented team. Bilked the fans into buying new jerseys , jacked up ticket prices , conned everyone into buying season tickets just to buy playoff tickets at ridiculous prices. depleted the team the next offseason and left all you loser season ticket holders, holding the bag.
But not to worry I did give vanek $300,000 a goal this year it was either that or get four 1st round draft picks , gotta love my great business sense.

See ya next year suckers!

Next year yes.. but let's not forget to say "Thank you" to Tom for all the fond memories. Thank you for saving the Team and keeping them in Buffalo, Nothing can erase all the fun, and the memories of that Stanley Cup Run. The pictures will live on and more importantly My 17yr old son and I made every game that year - playoffs and all.. the outdoor parties, concerts the games, the fans the craziness !! No-one can take that from us.. And with the good graces of god and more of Tom's money we will be back in the playoffs next year !!! So Tom, you see.. we aren't really suckers at all.. WE ARE TRUE BLUE & GOLD FANS !!!!(psst.. Tom you're documentary made me cry) Thank you for the memories !!

Hey Miller before you start telling everyone that you want to play in Detroit in the next few years, here's something to think about. Detroit wants and wins Stanly Cups. This is something you did not give Buffalo fans and don't have the potential to. Also in Detroit there really not interested in goalies that cant stop a pucks. Mr. Swiss cheese.

The time for "thank yous" to Tom Golisano ended after the 2006 Stanley Cup. From then on, "We expect, and demand, more and better from you and the Sabres" became the creed.

Tom: You owe us BIG; you owe us NOW!!!

"Who Cares" starts with... "You forget that the management that almost everyone says sucks is the same manangement that turned around a team from near bankruptcy and not selling out a game to a one of the hottest teams in the league and selling almost everygame out.."

But then (s)he concludes with... "Your right they are morons.. Who wants that.."

Thanks for coming around to the correct conclusion, "Who Cares." Golisano, Regier, and Quinn win the Duncecap Award for taking a post-season contender that came within an eyelash of getting on the 2006 Stanley Cup stage... and making it into a half-(baked) bargain basement dungheap in less than 2 years!

Great post... matching with my sentiments in just a little over a paragraph. Golisano and his "bozo trust."

Players come and go...remember the decision to"let go" of McKee?...heard of him lately? Up until a month and a half ago, Briere was all but washed with Philly...and Drury, yes, he's good...but look at the year Vanek had...who would have guessed he was durable enough to take a pounding in front of the net and play the entire season...Pominville, quietly became one of the top scoring forwards after the All-Star break, outscoring the likes of those media fed phenoms in Pittsburgh, Malkin AND Crosby...
Sure they didn't have all the tools, and it's hard to put it all together in any sport for any length of time...Blame free-agency.
So yes, you can be as mad as you want to be at everyone in the organization, you've earned it as their fans to expect a winner every year, but don't think for a minute that the players wanted to not make the play-offs.

Did anyone really think that this team would be able to pull this off. The only thing we as fans can hope for is that Golisano sells the team to someone who wants get serious about building a Stanley Cup Contender. In one season the clowns at the top managed to get rid of all of their best players and relegate this club to a Farm club for the rest of the NHL.
I suggest he sell to former San-Fran 49er owner Eddie DeBartolo. He'd make the Sabres a winner FAST!

If you read my original post, I was applauding Vanek for being durable enough to get back up every game, not how "good" he was, but seeing as you brought it up...He's good enough to be leading the team in goals, and also in power play goals at 17...So let me guess, you like Gaustad because he stands in front of the net and doesn't get knocked down?...Yes, and the Goose paid off big-time, with those ten goals he scored TOTAL in 81 games.

What's with you liberals and NOT understanding that capitalism is ALL about making money.

Isn't that what your liberal unions are for? Making you more money. Since when did it become evil to want to make more money?

A career in sports is short and you should make the money while you still can.

I said that the Butterknives would fall on their faces at the start of the year.

(pat on back) Nice job Jim. You were right. You were right all along buddie.(Thanks.)

Buffalo is as dump and I can see why people don't want to come here, but to stay here and be paid LESS? Get real!

Maybe Obama can bail out the Butterknives and subsidize the season ticket holders with tax payer money.

The new universal socialized hockey league.

If you're still happily munching chocolates and all sorts of other goodies, you'll have to take yourself in hand at some point during the coming fortnight. Maybe you'll have to compensate for all the festive over-eating by taking more exercise or cutting back on the calories, or perhaps you'll decide that you can't delay giving up smoking any longer. As Mercury turns in your twelfth house of secrets, messages you receive at this time may be very subtle or contain hidden meanings meant only for your understanding.
