hmmm...Repik scores in Buffalo and gets sent back down?
Its time for me to regroup also....and focus on my spelling.
Dude, what are you 5 years old? |
I know it's about the money, but Repik goes...McClean stays?
You look for a spark, an attitude, someone who gets a "golden opportunity" and catches fire. That's what a Repik could give you. Glad to see McCabe get back in there. Ok, at the end of the day, Martin deserves kudos for dealing Van Ryn for a McCabe who basically just needed a change of address and a competitive team, but for every move he's made that was pretty good...some of these others are quite questionable. None MORE questionable though, then the moves he DIDN'T make. I say we'll still squeak in to number eight. |

We are fortunate to have a good, young, dynamic hockey coach like Pete DeBoer here in South Florida. He's got the right attitude and he has this team playing well. He needs to stay on as head coach for a long time to get this franchise heading in the right direction. We've had too much of musical chairs in the coaching position. We need some consistency and Pete is the guy to stick with for this franchise. He should be signed to at least a 5 year deal and then we should continue molding this team into a championship caliber hockey club.

Pitts, Buffalo, Carolina, and Rangers all are playing tonight as well as the Panthers..Watch the scores, it should bode well for the Panthers as we play Tampa
Iceman is my number one wannabe,,She even posts as me.. |

Repik was a good addition if only because he likes to put the puck on the net (as evidenced by his team leading SOG total up in Rochester). Next year he will make this team easily. Even though the team really needs a center right now, I still prefer to see him play over McLean.
As others have pointed out, this is a lunch bucket team and they need to remember to just get the puck on net instead of trying to be too fancy. That's the game they need to get back to. As for the playoffs, the facts are pretty clear. They probably need to take at least 20 out of the remaining possible 28 points to get there (which would get them to 97 points). |

Repik returned by the retards. They killed Mathias the same way and Anderson too. This is ultra genius Martin who's got his own savings agenda. DeBoer will say yes sir, thank you Sir ....regardless tonight game is a show only because of the dual ownership of Tampa and Florida. So they'll win, big oops...
Goldy can coach the team alot cheaper than DB...... hhhmmmmmmm Then we can hire an intern from Piper HS to do play-by-play...... yes !! |
How did they kill Matthias? In training camp he didn't show he was ready to play at this level and right from the beginning up in Rochester he struggled. He's beginning to turn it around, but Repik has clearly played better. I would prefer that they didn't send Repik back as I like his game and the fact that he likes to shoot the puck, but their need is at center and Repik is solely a winger. Everyone points to Matthias' scoring last season, but forget to note that he was playing with Ollie - and even McLean looked like a real scorer when he was teamed with Olli. This is Matthias' first full year playing as pro and what you see is all part of the learning process. In the 16 or so games he played this year with the Panthers, Matthias had but 2 assists and was minus-3. Repik has simply come along more quickly, but like Matthias it is his first year playing as a pro and he is still developing. I have never been a Jacques Martin fan, but in this instance I don't disagree with keeping these kids in Rochester if possible so they can continue to develop. As for knocking DeBoer, that is just plain ridiculous. His coaching this year has been outstanding. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone in the pro hockey world who thinks otherwise. |

Olesz is back in tonight. Should be interesting.

Repik would have been a far better choice to play than useless POS Brett McLean or Ville Peltonen. Why is McLean still on this team? He's as useless as a teet on a bull....and Peltonen isn't too far behind. I would waive, yes waive Peltonen and McLean and call up Matthias and Repik. Anything at this point is worth a shot. I stilll predict the Panthers finish the season as the #9 seed and for the 9th year in a row fail to make the playoffs. Which I believe would be 12 full years without even a playoff win.
Also, check out Yahoo sports #1 current ICE COLD goalie in all the NHL based on recent play....yes, it's our Thomas Vokoun. Yes he's had some spectacular saves of late, but he's also been giving up extremely WEAK, WEAK goals. |
The Idiot from Irvine speaks, and no one listens. |
Yahoo sports lists Lehtonen as number one, Luongo as number two, and Budaj as number three. They also say that Bou is the most important player in the playoffs on the Panthers.. I couldnt find your refeernce to Vokoun.. |
And I never learned how to spell... |
Clearly, I'm hung up on the refeer..
I just checked an Vokoun is the number 1 Ice Cold goalie. I think you were looking in the "Hot" category. |

AOL |
lets go Panthers tonight!
DeBoer is a very smart guy and as such, I don't blame him for looking for his own butt and obviously martin is a hard ol'azz to deal with....Earlier I was applauding him playing more Anderson, but obviously Jaqueazz Martin stepped in with his contract priorities .
