Just for the record concerning teh supposed offer to Marian Hossa:

According teh detriot Free Press Hossa turned down offers from five teams to sign with Detriot.

Red Wings
Penguins
Oilers
Canucks
Canadiens
Bruins

Curiously the WILD are never mentioned as one of the five.

Read below

"the Pens were reportedly offering Hossa a little more than $7 million a season over anywhere from five to seven years. Forget the rumored nine-year deal the Edmonton Oilers had on the table worth $9 million a season. Forget the interest Vancouver, Montreal and Boston showed in the Czech star."

We need to add some muscle to our lineup as well as a quality C who can put the puck in the net and play defense too

You gotta be kidding me...2plus million a year for 34 points? now we sound like we are signing out of desperation.
I am thouroughly not impressed.
Looks like a long non playoff season again, you have no muscle at all.

I think this is missing piece of the puzzle that Wild fans everywhere were hoping to find. DR's job should now be safe for a long time to come. Way to go Wild!

"Antti will add speed to our lineup, score goals and compete hard, a combination that will mesh well with our team identity." Yeah, He's a real barn burner in the points department...what did he have for numbers last year? Ohh yeah, 34. I think the scoring is going to becoming from the back end this year...if at all.

They said Hossa was Czech, so they obviously can't know too much!

blah blah blah. The bottom line is that DR couldn't produce one big signing this FA period, when they were actively going after most of the top guys. Stud GM'S find a way, Dougie did not. Unbelieveable. My excitement is through the roof.

Together we can preserve the dream called freedom for our children and future generations.
The 4th of July in 1970 was my first day on Active Duty in the United States Air Force with the rank of Captain after I volunteered to join a reserve UASF Unit at the height of the Vietnam War at the University of Minnesota with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
And today again the 4th of July is a proud day for me, Jack Shepard.
This morning the 4th of July when I looked at the Minnesota Secretary of State’s website; page Minnesota 2008 Candidate Filing at http://candidates.sos.state.mn.us/CandidateFi...
I saw that my name, jack Shepard was listed as the first Republican to running in the Minnesota Republican United States Senate Primary Election on Sept. 9, 2008.
I have never been afraid to rise to the challenge. I can and will stand up to any challenge so we can preserve our American Dream of freedom for our children.
After over 38 years travelling the world, beginning in the late 1970’s and 80’s travelling Central and South American and during the past quarter of a century travelling and learning about the severe problems that challenge our very future which presently exist in the Middle East.
I pray that I am given the chance to use my vast Middle East experience to support and work with our next U.S. President to meet the challenge we face today to our very future.
Thank you and May God Bless America with a future of Peace and Happiness.

The softest team in the NHL not one of the D can hit, and everyone going wants to be a goal scorer. The forwards have no grit and also can't score so who wouldn't buy season tickets to watch a bunch of over paid under performing players. Fire Doug,Jacque and the rest of the staff that has failed to give us the team we want and deserve!!!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Virgo

Be careful you don't wind up doing someone else's work today, Virgo. There are all sorts of little tricks to persuade you to take pity on them, from pretending to be ill to making such a hash of everything that you can't bear to watch for a moment longer. Then you are likely to be asked to put in some overtime, at the expense of your social life. Grr.
