Second game in a row the boys have been buzzing... guess getting rid of the older players and letting the kids to their thing is really starting pay off with Gordon's system.

kudos to the young isles for not cowering at the feet of Martin Brodeur (like my team does). Something is starting to click over in Uniondale, I can see it. Nice job!!!

looks like some of the younger players are coming along. add a mr. john tavares to that team and you can be seeing some playoff hockey at the coliseum in a year or two. keep the rebuilding going and stay away from big contracts.

Most impressive game this year. Defense still looked soft but it never broke. I can see this team next year being a play off contender. Lets hope we can keep this group together and not trade them away to make them stars forother teams like in years pass. Hopefully this will be a nice run at the end of the year and precursor to next season.

The Islanders appear to be on the right track. Gordon has the right system in place he just needed the young players who can skate. The key is to stay away from over paid lethargic veterans like the other New York team.

These kids are coming around, now stay in the race for the 1st pick, makie sure you sign your 1st pick since that can be difficult ( remember Lindros ) get a few offseason UFA's and next year can be fun to watch, as it is of late.
Good luck

wow. These Islanders are like the greatest team of all time! We can and will win the Stanley Cup this season. And next year, with the return of Ricky D., we may go undefeated! Now that da geezers are gone - Guerin dealt to Pittsburgh for a box of popcorn, Dougie Weight out with the hurt pinkie, we will triumph.

Just when I say Comeau's showing me nothing, he shows a lot. Oh well. If Isles continue to play this well, getting the first or second pick is no certainty. If they fall to #3 or #4, Snow must overpay for #1 or #2. If either Gedman or Tavares is as good as advertised, and I don't know that, but if either is, then Snow must give our #3 or #4 or whatever it is for the #1 or #2, and toss in the Campoli #1 (still a bad trade...) and even a high #2. That's the reason we've accumulated them all, to have the leverage to turn around the team. And Gedmans and Tavareses turn around teams and, clearly, judging by yesterday's game, the Isles have plenty of youth. Add a few free agents and within three years the Stanley Cup semi-finals are a real possibility. And not that anyone would take him, but I'd be more than happy to have Danis as our #1 and Mac as the back-up if that's what was needed to snag Tav or Ged.
