Another great game by Punchdrunk, flopping, out of position Vokoun.Even Philly announcers were commenting how he is out of position alot of times and was not ready for Philly 2nd goal. This guy has lost 4 of his last 8 games down the stretch with stupid plays.Anderson would have been better choice.Fans can see it but what about management.Another year without playoffs. The big spin will be that we can still catch Montreal.Next year will be GREAT without Anderson to come in and bail Vokoun out and no Bouwmeester.Red Baron is right about Martin and Cohen.

Montreal needs to lose to the Pens and Bruins in regulation, could very well happen. (or flyers only pick up 1 pt in fnal 2) But we also need to win the last two, which i am strongly doubting at this point.

That cracks me up-this team cant win a clutch game when their backs are to the wall-especially with the flopping salamander Vokoun.Forget about playoffs!Rest of team really hustled-just dont have enuf talent here and no cluth goaltender

Thanks to the panther for another year down the sh*tter. Bo is as good as gone, Anderson is gone. This team is just not that good. Peter Deb. did a good job with the talent he has around him.Allen will be back next year but the team is sill avg at best and if we dont go out and spend some money on some guys (two) who can get 30+ goals then were in for the same season....and i'm not buying for the 4rd year in a row that the youngers guys are going to get better and step up....Horton = Bust, Olez?= Bust McLean= Bust, Peltonen = old, Stillman = old...Vokoun is not and elite netminder.

This team better make some MAJOR moves this offseason like the miami dolphins did w/ Parcells and Ireland. They got rid of Taylor and Thomas and look what they did in ONE season! Please clean house and bring in some players that have talent and don't dissapoint year in and year out!

the end....10 yrs running.

Good post-Vokoun is at best a c plus netminder in this league-way over-rated and overpaid.Another Martin bungle. We have a collection of aging defenceman and very little puck handling or bonafide cluth/skill players.Frolik has potential but cannot do it by himself.I agree DeBoer did good job but I cant understand why he keeps playing Vokoun in these clutch games.Martin is a stubborn French Canadien who is way to spiteful.I dont think the players respect or like him.DEbOER GOT THE MOST OUT OF THIS AVERAGE TALENT BUNCH BUT PLAYED THE WRONG PLAYERS AT WRONG TIMES.Anybody that thinks we will sneak in is dreaming-we might beat Atlanta but we will lose to Washington if Vokoun is the netminder(remember his Ovechkin soft goal?)

so let's recap..
1. Panther's out of the playoffs again
2. Bouwmeester walks away and we get nothing
3. Ownership isn't able to bring anyone in to fill up the whole left by the player who logs the most minutes in the NHL
4. What are we rebuilding? and for how long?

The Los Angeles Clippers think the Panthers are a joke...
Alan Cohen is building a hockey empire...
There WAS no trade deadline...
JB is gone...
It doesn't matter...
We won a playoff series 14 years ago...
Steve Goldstein is better than John Facenda...
Chris Wells was better than Mark Messier...

and who can forget vaclav nedorost, ivan novoseltsev, dave nemerovsky and the always popular juraj kolnik...

you know nothing about hockey...
you have no life...
you're an idiot...

And, where do I send my check for next year Mr Cohen?

RE-Building?? We had to have something first in order to RE-BUILD. We're still just trying to build.

Gotta love a GM that craves "puck moving defensemen" then doesn't pick up anyone for the defensemen to move the puck to.

Just think, if Cohen holds true to form, he fires Jacques Martin, then hires a new GM who wants to bring in his own coach, then DeBoer is let go (or asked to move down to Rochester) and next year starts an entirely new rebuilding project.

Where were our goal scorers tonight?

Was it just me or did Horton totally suck as a $million dollar scorer for the Panthers?

As a 10 yr. season ticket holder I just can't any longer .... Coach DeBoer is the real deal but sorry ... I need a break from this ....

Well, in the genius mind of Jacques Martin, who loves defensive hockey, offensive-minded forwards are vastly overrated. Yeah, next season Jacques might even replace a couple of forwards with defensemen.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Virgo

Someone is being headstrong and wilful, and absolutely determined to do what they want. Mercury is retrograde and it's a Full Moon in Cancer with a lunar eclipse all happening tonight! This could lead to some heated discussions and possibly even rows, as you argue the toss back and forth. It might be best to accept that there's very little possibility of reaching an agreement rather than to get locked in a stubborn battle of wills. Besides, you don't want anything to spoil what promises to be a very enjoyable New Year's Eve. Have fun!
