Despite Panthers' discouraging skid, hands are off panic button

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Coral Springs - The Panthers spent only about 15 minutes on the ice Wednesday. No reason to hang around too long and think about their four-game losing streak, coach Pete DeBoer said.

Someone needs to tell these guys to stop talking and start playing. They sound like last year's team. "We need to do this" and "We need to do that". How many times have we heard that crap only to see the team come out flat? If we had a real captain maybe someone would lay into these guys besides the coach. This next game is a MUST WIN GAME. If they blow it they might as well start setting up their tee off times.

"There's no reason why we're not going to get over this [tonight] and get back in the top eight," McLean said."

Well newsflash for McLean: even with a win we will not be in the top eight tonight.
Hey maybe thats all there is. A misunderstanding in reading what rank we actualy are. There you go problem solved.

Hey, at least they're saying all the wrong things lol. Hope they don't think tonight's game will be any easier just because it's Toronto. Even lowly Tampa gives us problems - on home ice.

RE: The 3-0 shutout loss to Wash Tuesday.......

"If our offense would have scored, it would have been a different game, and maybe a different outcome".......
Louie, March 18, 2009.

Martin and the Organization left our guys down...whatever the reason, they didn't strengthen the team at the trade deadline, the guys know it and we know it. Even if McCabe and Horton DIDN'T get injured, we should have gotten at least one or two veterans to bolster the lineup, every other team we're in competition for the final spots did so. That's a big let down to know your franchise isn't serious about winning, to know your just secondary the entertainment to fill the arena with screaming kids, mothers and casual fans. For most it's a night out with the kids and a diversion. You saw them crumble against Pittsburg and the Sabres and Washington they had nothing. Washed up physically and mentally they've had it. Nice run men...too bad the Organizzzzation didn't support you down the stretch.

That is awesome. It's like Al Michaels turning to John Madden and saying, "What do they have to do in the second half to get back in this game, John?"

"Score more points than the other team, Al."

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Scorpio

It will be easy to let things get on top of you today, especially if you're already feeling rather tired and listless. Do yourself a favor and keep away from anyone who often makes you feel a bit fed up or defensive, because they're the last person you want to be around at the moment. They'll make your spirits sink down to your ankles in a flash, and who needs that?
