As it stands now the Pens dont scare me that much, they are solid all around but lack the intangibles they had last season. If they sign Shanahan they will be lethal. You stick him on the PP and he just blasts away

I hope your right BigBadBs. I am praying the Shanny signs with Bruins.. A guy like that can really fit in nicely with this new young group. The Bruins are playing a style of hockey that they haven't played in decades and its working. I hope Brendan is taking notice and realizing that he wouldn't be signing with losing Bruins of the past 15 years. Plus it would be nice to see a Future HOFR who is from the Boston Area finish out with his hometown team

Um, his home town is Mimico, Ontario, a neighbourhood of Toronto.

Sorry JJ, I have since learned his off-season home is in Boston where he lives with his wife Catherine Janney, ex-wife of former Bruin Craig Janney (also Shanny's onetime linemate in St. Loo).
My bad.

No Problem GoOilers. I knew he wasn't born in Boston, but I knew he lives here.. I would just really like to see him come to the Bruins. They could really use him. Plus at this stage of his career, playin close to home just might be a better fit for him

Shanahan was supposed to sign recently but here we are and no signing yet. There's no particular hurry and I'm thinking Shanny is sizing up his suitors. Most of the rumors have him signing with the Flyers .
It's possible that he sees a young talented Blackhawks squad as an ideal place to play. The Blackhawks would have to clear cap space to sign him and moving Khabibulin would do the trick. If you see Khabibulin traded soon look for Shanny to sign with the B'Hawks.

GoOilers i agree shanahan wants to go to a team thats gonna be in the playoffs, the flyers, duh. most depth on a team in the league as far as scoring potential and once our 4 new defensemen started to click they are as potent as ever. flyers aren't your girly oilers team. hard hitting, driving to the net basically making a mockery of other teams "solid" D. shanny with a chance to play with one of the top centers in the league, carter, and an up and coming player of a life time, lupul, is all he needs. he will be a star on the flyers, not just another play like he would be in pittsburg. why wouldnt he want to end his career with an oppurtunity like that. and the bruins?!?!?! yeah they are going far this season. HA!

I seem to recall a 5-4 Oilers win over PHI earlier this season, in your barn. The score was only close after the Oilers allowed a couple of late game, meaningless goals. The Flyers were pushovers.
I take from what you wrote, you must have a man-crush on Lupul with his dreamy eyes?
Correct me, but didn't PHI play the Oilers in two Stanley Cup finals and lose BOTH? Bunch of wannabes.

You will not be satisfied in your work place, but give it some time and things will fall into place. Those in the construction business should get some good news.
