Maybe Brendan has lost a step or two in last few years with his play but needs to be signed again to the Rangers for his leadership alone...with a young team as the rangers are now, they truly need a leader like shanahan!

The Rangers only have $2 million remaining in cap space, so unless he's going to play at a vastly reduced amount of money I think you will see him sign in St. Louis.

i think the rangers should sign him, they can easily give up Dawes, Rissmiller, nd Prucha they all have at least $1,000,000 contracts
