Don't forget to renew your season tickets to Alan Cohen's Crapfest '08-'09...

You'll get nameplates on your seats, beer discounts (from $7.00/beer to $6.50) and an opportunity to buy a jersey with a soon-to-be-traded-beacuse-he-w ill-want-a-raise player's signature. Oh, I forgot to mention the Epileptic Bananaman will be back, too!

I agree that ollies dont grow on trees and he is a fine 30 goal scorer but not a franchise player. So dont trade him.

But Au Resvoir JM. Your time has passed. Your defnesive minded 90s trap mindset is past. Off to Century Villiage Montreal for you. 3 years was more rope then you deserve.

How can you blame just the captain, what about the other players out there.Listen when you don't finish your checks or better yet show no desperation to win I don't know ,bottom line this team just isn't hungry enoughyear after year.

I partially agree but your captain should be the hungriest player of your team... and the finishing all his hits. Instead we have a floater who slowly floats behind the net and never hits. As for Pavel Bure... yes he was a great player and non existant in the defensive zone and look where he brought us...ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE!!!!! 1 playoff year only to be eliminated in 4 straght. You need heart, grit and passion to win this at this game. Thats why the ducks are awesome.... Let me say this...I garantee Montreal will not pass the 1 round... the playoffs is a completely different game and they do not have what it takes...
We need to keep our core and please oh pretty pretty please stop getting overseas players that cant make it in the NHL....Theres a reason why they are there. Peltonen and Murphy need to go. Stumpel bye bye... Martin Bye Bye. Johanson Bye Bye...Dvorak Bye Bye. and do you think if Jokinen loses the "C" he would be still as effective. or would he be pissed and stop playing.
Theres a lot of really really good free agent ...Smyth, Campbell, Langkow, Rolston, Williams, Sakic, Forsberg, Selanne, Foote, Naslund, Demitra, Satan, Shanahan, Blake, Holik, Federov..... Come on lets stop being the cheap douche of the league and build a good team.... We, the Fans are tired of trying to beleive in this franchise. DELIVER FOR PETE SAKE!!!!!!!!!!

I think Jokinen will be a much better player without the "C" and without that backstabbing dirtbag JM.

Jokinen is one tough SOB. He once had a hockey stick explode through his mouth and bust up his jaw in a morning skate; and didn't let the several hours of dental surgery that afternoon stop him from playing that night. He deserves a coach who cares and better linemates; and if he wants to stay I'd sure welcome him back. Imagine how he must have felt when after he re-signed to the team long term (to ensure his pal Luongo would also stay) management flubbed things up so badly that Luongo wound up in Vancouver, and any chance Olli had of being on a playoff team in '06-'07 blew up in his face.

So for those of you that want to come down hard on Olli (who is honorable enough to own up to his own actual or perceived failings, unlike that sleaze JM); you need to give the guy credit for what he did achieve in spite of what he had to work with (let's face it, he doesn't have half the talent of Nathan Horton), and try to understand how this environment can wear down the best after so many years of mismanagement.

If Martin is gone and Banana Man comes back, I'm renewing. As a season ticket holder, I saw a season of coaching errors, players not prepared and no motivation whatsoever. When you hate the coach, the fun is gone and you only play for pay. Hard to care about making coach a success by making the playoffs. Olli is a player with a shattered confidence level and I thank Martin for that. Shame you half to sell when the market is so bad but at least you get free health when you return to your homeland.

Lets review Martins brilliant mismanagement and misplaying of personel all year.1Running Vokoun into ground by refusing to play Anderson every 7 games 2.Constant juggling of lines.Playing into players weaknesses instead of their strengths.3.Putting all the guys that cant handle puck on same 2 lines.4.Bad choices in shootout selections.5 No imagination or ability to adapt-the list goes on and on-His passive aggresive personality plus his total lack of communicative skills have made a bad team worse.Martin belongs in the era of the 1980s
