Two ways to look at that situation...DP sorry but unless it was your Mom or Pop that passed away, git your butt in the nets. This IS crunchtime! This is where you earn your keep, not beating Tampa Bay 20 games into the season. On the other hand, he's playin' like crap lately and Dubie is due!!

Ok, a win is a win and ya have to be happy about that BUT, I gotta say, as much as I am a DP supporter, he really blew chunks last night. 3 of those goals (including the penalty shot) should've been stopped. He was mentally not in the game. He wasn't to hot against the Penguins either. From what the guys in the booth were saying, Dubie goes against the flyers tomorrow, and I think that's a good thing, DP needs a rest.

I never said "DP sucks" (and for the record, he does NOT suck), just that he needs a break and considering (as the article stated) he suffered a loss in the family last night, he should've sat out the game.

DP is to blame on 2 of those goals for sure. Hey, where's Bill Guerin? anyone seen him over the past 9 games?

hopefully dubie stops the flyers tomorrow, dont want them thinking they can overtake the rangers on sunday.

What a surprising turn of events, that DP has been the weakest element of this team in recent weeks (save for maybe special teams)

at least when we blew our lead it was against montreal....how do you explain blowing a 3-0 lead to the hossa less thrashers?

I usually don't like to kind of agree with hate spewing Rags fans, but i think DP needs a wake-up call and feels a little too secure with his place on the team. A few years ago I went to an autograph signing with billy smith and My buddy and I were the last to in line, we spoke to Billy for a good 20 mins. We were badgering him about what he thought of DP, and were basically told that Billy left the team to go work with the Panthers cause he thought DP was too arrogent to listen to his suggestions. The only problem i have with the 15 year contract is every player need just a little desparation in their game, and there are too many people constantly singing his praises, even when they are not being earned.
That said I stll think he is a better goalie than Henrietta ( incidentally the highest paid goalie in the league, that's funny)But he needs a little more focus in his game. Maybe Snow should have traded for Huet, then his GAA would have sunk like a rock.

Dino, give it a rest. We got it, DP had a bad week. Get over it. He's still better than Lungfish overall and that's why you're overkilling this. Posting 200 times is not going to make you sound more intelligent.

all well and good, you are entitled to your opinion. But can you tell me why you think he is a better goalie then Henrik?

dont really think anyone can come up with a valid answer to that one, stats dont lie, vezina nominations dont lie etc.

we are going nowhere? last i checked we are in playoff position, our goalie is hot, we have gotten points in the last 8 games and have the best record in the nhl against eastern conference playoff teams.

I think he a better goalie for the same reasons mad mike did. He has got that brodeur dimention to his game. Could you imagine if henrietta could send a tape to tape pass to the blue line with fowards coming at him? Jagr and shanny would have a feild day. But he can't. As for stopping the puck, i think they are pretty even, although Henretta's stats are better, they are both inconsistant, they both are prone to streeks. Unfortunatly the isles D has a habit of leaving guys alone in the slot, Even brodour has hard time stopping shots like that.
I didn't say he is tops in the league, but he is better than henrietta. As for the vezina noms, he is playing in NYC so his visibility is much higher than say nabakov, or Turco who could just as easily been nominated in his place.
