Ref's should be ashamed of themselves. The better team won this series I will say. With that said the Capitals would have had to cut someone in half in order to get a penalty called on them in the 3rd period tonight. If I was Avery I would have gone ape chit and used my stick as an axe tonight. Although he has built the rep for himself, there is no reason for a guy to have to put up with the BS he had to tonight. GUy was getting mugged all over the ice all night and couldn't get a single call. DISGUSTING!

In the end the Rangers my hockey team are like the Mets my baseball team they both have no killer instinct. In my view two things decided this series.

Number 1 was the Caps gamble to after game 1 to dump their veteran goaltender for a rookie. Nobody is talking about this but the rookie outplayed the King. The King played like a prince. Of course there would have been no play-offs at all without Lundqvist and he stole 3 games by standing on his head and Federov's goal was a good one, but in hockey it is all about the ones you let in. The Roy's, Smith's, Dryden's and Richter's of this world do not give up the goals in big games that Lundqvist has. Lundqvist is still young and it might happen but as of now Ovechkin is correct Lundqvist is a very good goalie but not a great one.

Whatever you think of him Sean Avery was the Rangers best player in game 7 and that is a problem. No killer instinct comes from no scoring . Gomez,Drury, and Redden were for the most part no shows all year. Their power play has been in a three year slump how does that happen?

I do agree that personal feelings are deciding how calls are made and not made when Sean Avery is involved. And I say deal with it. Avery has made his own bed and any team that wants him has to live in it. The bottom line is that Rangers play much worse when he is not in their lineup.

I am conflicted about keeping Tortorella. The team had quit on the good coach and man Renney and Trots lit a fire got them to the playoffs. but then he blew up in the clutch. As a Ranger fan everything about that incident was an embarrassment

Heartless, gutless teams don't win and that's why the Rangers are done. Teams got no heart whatsoever.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Virgo

It's okay to have high expectations, but try to keep in mind that no one can be all things to all people. As the Moon spends one last day in its current sign, it urges you to find a way to recognize others for their strengths, and forgive them their weaknesses. Virgoans' idiosyncrasies must look like strange quirks from the outside as well! Fate ties up the loose ends towards the end of the day.
