What else would he be implying? I didn't consider the trade deadline a real "cleaning house" since only a few players left...Guerin, Comrie, Campoli.
Guess if they're going to play well from here on in, keep rooting and hope Tavares shatters his spleen. |

Was really looking forward to joining the Isles until I just read this story. I guess this coach doesn't like anyone but young kids and doesn't respect or need experience in the locker room. He also doesn't seem to really care for other suggestions or opinions - even though he asks for opinions.
Hockey players talk, coach. You are now in the same class as the Rags Tortellini. "Bad apples" - Why not call these former players (who wasted a few precious remaining career years fighting for this nightmare franchise) "gutless" like Mad Mike called out Travis Green? That worked out well and I'm sure every established vet free agent is having their agents line up to talk with Snow. Scott has history on his side. I can think of so many teams that have gone deep in the playoffs with a bunch of kids and no vets - The 1980 Olympic team doesn't count. Great, win now? Perfect timing to screw up your odds and miss out on a real young difference maker in the lottery draft. This keeps getting better and better. Just tank the rest of the season - it would be the smartest move this franchisee had made in over a decade. |

First of all, I'm happy for the way they are playing.
Regardless of the draft pick they may play better, but I hope the coach will be fired before the team go up to another level." A couple of bad apples"? How low class act he is to make a comment like this in public. How could we trust this guy? bad apples are him and GM. there was a better way to get to the same place we are now. We all hope this is a growing up process but is it only me who feel want to grow without this coach and GM? |

"You know, we had a couple bad apples, too, that we got rid of," Gordon said.
WHAT?!? Very uncool, true or not. He still has a lot to learn, about the system called life. |

By the way, speaking of one of those bad apples -- Campoli logged the most ice time of any Senator in their win over Toronto, I think it was, the other night, 24 and a half minutes, three more than Phillips.

Gordon calls Guerin a bad apple? He wouldn't have the guts to say that to his face. Gordon is a no-class, white trash, no talent garbage. That locker room must be like a cell at Sing Sing.
Gordon would knife any player in the back when he got the chance. |

Enough already you idiots. He wasn't referring to Guerin. He was referring to pretty boy Comrie who acted like he didn't care half the time, and Campoli who didn't want to be here.

Maybe you were in the Islanders' locker room all year, but I wasn't. As far as I'm concerned, If Guerin or Comrie spoke out against the coach or the system in the presence of the younger players, then not only do they deserve to go, they deserve to be bad-mouthed. We already know Campoli did it. As for the free agents, If Gordon saying what he said will keep me-first, high-priced free agents from coming to Long Island then I don't really care. The types of free agents we want are players who know that badmouthing the coach does not help anyone, including the team. They also know enough not to join a team unless the like the system. So if anything, blame Gordon's system and not his words. |

THIS IS A MOOT POINT, STOP BRINGING IT UP! Campoli wanted to leave and the Islanders were happy to trade him. We got a first round pick for someone who would have eventually left anyway...who gives two sh*ts about what he's doing in Ottawa. |

Guerin, Comrie and Campoli are bad apples, lets face it. Guerin and Comrie put no heart into their game this season and obviously disagreed with Gordon's system. But too bad for them, they were both players who've been on other teams with other systems before. They should have just sucked it up. But they felt unimportant because of the focus on the kids, so they had to go. I don't beleive it's wrong to say that about players if their effort on the ice was bad. |

Maybe, but you gotta admit he was hilarious on the Uncle Floyd Show. His Chuck Littlehat character was a scream. |

It seems like an easy two points for the Rangers when the two teams play eachother-
