If Havlat is one of MN's "fastest skaters" this is one sloooow team.

I love how reporters always ask Andrew Brunette for his opinion about speed. Of course he's going to say that it isn't important.

A good reader comment a few weeks back was this "Gaborik attacks the offensive zone while Havlat floats into the offensive zone." Nothing could be more true. The bottom line here is offensive production and lets look at the numbers to date... Havlat and the rest of the Wild players have a long way to go. Those $300.00 jerseys in the hockey lodge will be going for $10.00 after the first of the year when the attendance numbers drop below 10K a game.

I know Poulliot and Sheppard were scratches on Saturday. Why aren't they permanent ones? The wild has been working with these two guys for two years and they only play when they want. Smith and Hilbert are good players and maybe gillies can make a comeback.

Poulliot & Sheppard have already had more chances than deserved. I thought Smith was very solid on Saturday night and didn't shy away from contact. I didn't notice Hilbert much, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing...it means he wasn't the culprit in opponent goals.

OFFICIAL GAMEDAY THREAD: 10/26/09 Wild vs. Blackhawks
FINAL: Blackhawks 3, Wild 1
Mr. MooDog33 should find a cigar-smoking puppet to match his username.
Stay focused, Olen Nowan.

Actually, my comment was, "Gaborik explodes into the offensive zone, Havlat glide through it." While not really a rip on Havlat, it marked the difference on how they attack the zone and why it is easier to defend against one player vs. the other.
