What lies ahead for the faithful?? Our 'future stars' are producing next to NOTHING and our vets can't wait for a trade. Where is the light at the end of this tunnel? Even a #1 pick like Crosby isn't the answer. Prepare for a geographical location!! Whats your logic behind our youngsters producing nothing? Talking to Ranger fans? Do you even watch the games?

To Scott Brunner and Isles, Not exactly a warrior in that sense but he's dropped the gloves four times this year, which is not bad for a guy who is smaller than Hillary Duff. I had a feeling grouping him in with the others might weaken the credibility of the post but I stand by its entirety.

I took my son Freddy to his first hockey game. We saw the Islanders lose. He said to me. "Why do they stink so much, daddy?". I didn't know what to say. We both cried.

If I were low enough to be a Rag$ fan, I'd certainly be concerned about blowing a number of wins lately and be on my own team's wanky little blog to try to figure out a fantasy cure for an overrated team with an effete Spittin' Swede, Queen Limpwrist, as their "leader." And Scottie Gee told me every rag$ fan of the male gender he does in the MSG mens room really smells of alcohol, crank, and their father's gonads. Are all isles fans homophobic closet fanny farmers ? The seemingly rampant fixation over sexual identity, male genitalia and homosexuality is extrememly disturbing. Does anyone know if a study has ever been done on this phenomenon ?

Maybe you should be worrying about where your goaltending is going to come from over the next few yrs. Chew on this: Lundqvist Save PCT: '05-06 ---.922 '06-07 ---.917 '07-08 ---.912 '08-09 ---.908 Notice a trend??? Actually.....no. If you ask me it's pretty consistent. The difference from year to year is 5 one thousandths of a percentage point. If you figure 60 starts and an average shots on goal against of 30 per game....that works out to giving up 9 more goals over a 60 game stretch. An alarming trend ? Pffft. And hardly enough of a concern to warrant worrying about where their future goaltending is going to come from. League execs and GM's would appear to agree since he's been selected as an all star reserve. Lundqueen ? Jeez....I think this Fenstiblow guy above was onto something. Free falling ? Laughable.

The only difference between the Knicks and the Islanders is the Knicks actually have fans that go to the games.

Not as high because he only plays when he thinks his boo boo's do not bother him as much.

ISLES wrote: Not to mention lundqueen's GAA this yr of 2.67 in front of a defense oriented team. Not too pretty. That puts him 23rd in the NHL. This is a franchise goalie??? He has outshined DP in his time in the league and has won a gold medal. Seriosly what has DP done in his time in the NHL, DP is average on a good day.

They needed to reload. The pens got crosby with the #1 pick. Believe me, if the isles get the #1 pick, they will not be trading it. Also, I guess you forgot how the pens landed malkin too They landed Malkin through their own pick.

Thus, the reason why I did not mention him anywhere in that post of priors. I spoke of Lundqvist. You voiced your obsession with DP. If your only defense of Lundqvist is saying that DP is worse, then that's not much of a defense. I think that says a lot about rag fans' confidence in lundqvist.

Why are you so worried concerned with what you have established as an average goalie? You've got a declining goalie to deal with. He's aging very quickly. But, hey, he's better than McDonald right? So the rags should be fine.

We all know you don't believe that. I mean let's face it, the difference between a .922 save pct and a .908 save pct is the difference between a top tier goalie and an average one. Learn a little about nhl hockey, sweetie.

I mean let's face it, the difference between a .922 save pct and a .908 save pct is the difference between a top tier goalie and an average one. Learn a little about nhl hockey, sweetie. You're the free fall guy aren't you ? Let me ask you something...honestly, does it make you feel better about yourself and your joke of a team to fabricate crisises that simply don't exist ? The fact is save percentage is many times a misleading stat as it doesn't take into account quality of shots. "Top tier" goalies like Patrick Roy - his first six years in the league had a save pctg that fluctuated between .918 and .894. Brodeur's career save pctg is .914 and 7 of his 14 years in the league its been .911 or below. Making a statement that the Rangers should be concerned about where their future goaltending is coming from, is flat out asinine. And I guess the league and okther GM's agree that its not a concern either since he was named to the all star team. But you know better huh ? You can foresee crisises before they even become one. The Kreskin of the nhl if you will. You're a delusional dope. And your free fall statement is almost equally as absurd. My guess is that there are about 23 or so teams in the league that would love to be in the same free fall. And your sorry bunch would be at the top of the list.

If you did then you would have noticed what the Pens did...and how they nearly got run out of town. Today you can't get a seat. What's horrible are people like you who think they know enough to become a critic...you don't. With all due respect I averaged 25 or so games a year from 2000-08 and did whatever I could do as a high school kid to get into the building (selling bottles for returns) to get a ticket to the 93 run to the conference finals and home weekday games (remember the 329 bums?). Before that my father would take me to the games. I still have the ticket stubs. Section 204 row D for 29 -35 bucks for seats. I have watched the Isles "Rebuild" time and time again for too long. Seems to me they only want to go far enough to rebuld the team to get the 8th playoff spot and then decide not to show up for the first round of post season fun and at least give the fans a goal at home to cheer about.(With the exception of the Toronto playoff series.) My issue is with the organization moreso than with the players. I thank Charles for purchasing the team but also expected him to give a little more free reign to the hockey people.
