From all indications, no disciplinary action will be taken by the NHL against goaltender Henrik Lundqvist or the Rangers for their aggressive actions toward two Islanders "Ice Girls" Tuesday night at Nassau ...

lundqvist shouldn't have to move and you claiming is unfair..thats mature. moving doesn't have to do with respect, respect him for trying to do his job and concentrate, he is there to play a game not be the ice girls best friend. This was blown out of proportion, send the rangers some flowers for your disgrace to the game.

That you could have, in the NHL, disrespect for WOMEN? The actions of Avery and Lundqvist are duly noted. Clearly they harrassed the Ice Girls. To what degree is debatable. This just proves Averys reputation as a slimeball. And he's effecting the rest of them ScumRags. It would be AMAZING to see Isles and Rags in Playoffs. It would be fun...

wow, what a f up organization. Once again , congratulations for making yourselfs look like the fools of the NHL that you are. More worried about icegirls than playoffs...Isles vice president of operations Tim Beach said, "but flowers would be nice. We will send them when you are knocked out of playoffs !!! For your graves....The NHL doesn't want any part of this as you can see. "It's not fair, he hides the snow in there".....Get TFO !!! Some some respect for a pro athlete....instead of acting like a 15 yr old BIT*H....Sorry Isles , you are fast becoming the #1 joke of all pro sports if you haven't already achieved that yet !!!

I'm sure Billy Smith would move and have no issue with it! Yeah right, Smith would of knocked them on their ass and told them to get lost. Smith also always refused to shake hands after the playoff series was completed.
Hey Islanders, you have a short memory!
Give it a rest!

so a ranger's former coach and front office person in Colin Campbell disciplines Chris Simon so severe that he can't play against the Ranger's for the rest of the season even if they meet in the plaoffs. The Rangers former beat writer, Frank Brown refuses to discipline the organiztion for their discourteous actions against the Isle's ice girls. Not huge stuff but big enough to maybe open a few eyes when personell who work for the NHL have had such close ties with an organization !!

This is absolutely ludacris, If the girls can't handel the cursing on the ice they don't belong there. Hockey players spit all the time, I'm sure they didn't spit on Higgins on purpose if they did at all. maybe it's time to replace the Ice girls.

Surprise surprise Ranger alumni (Colin Cambell) wouldn't suspend Dirtbag Avery & Lundquist. Nice message your sending out to all the people who watch hockey. Now wonder why ESPN signed Arena football and not the NHL pretty sad stuff.

Has anyone else thought that Lundquist might be gay and he is just angry at the ice girls because they get so much attention from the men that Henrik is trying to sexually appeal to? I am not criticizing Henrik if he is gay, I am just trying to find an explanation here for his totally irrational behavior.

Ice Girls??? I moved away from NY years ago and I'll admit it's been a long time since I've seen a hockey game. But what is this travesty? What have they done to the sport of Hockey?!!!

Obviously if its alright for players to spit at stadium employees then its ok with the league & the Rangers for fans to spit on the wives of Ranger players in the stadiums.
Considering the Islanders dominated the Rangers by getting 12 of the possible 16 points in the 8 games its a shame they can't play more often. When you consider the refs blew the goal call last month it would have 13.

This might be BS but the league says Lundquist is supposed to move.

Putting sports aside this is all about respect. They should have repected these girls who were just doing there jobs.

Hell, I much prefer to look at the ice girls anyway. If your a guy you would be crazy to say you didn't.

Lundquist and Avery treated the Ice Girls just like the three piece suits who run MSG. As all Ranger fans are aware, a number of women who work at the Garden have filed sexual harrassment suits against MSG. At his point nothing has been proven. Suffice it to say Colin Campbell former Ranger player and coach will not conduct the trial. Undoubtedly, the cases will settle. Jim Dolan doesn't need anyone to embarrass him he does just fine himself.

One thing all of you supposed "hockey fans" are missing is the rule in the NHL that provides each team with a snow free crease. During an appropriate play stoppage, personnel is BY RULE supposed to go in an clean the crease. It's not an option for the goalie, it's an NHL edict.
Also, what's the difference between ice girls and cheerleaders, except the gear they wear on their feet? These girls are trained figure skaters who love the sport and want to keep doing it. They are the standard bearers at the beginning of every game, they get the crowd into things during intermissions, and, do more than cheerleaders do, by providing a necessary service by cleaning the ice.

"no penalty for rudeness" amazing from the organization who attempts decapitation and then cries all the way to the suspension. What the Isles organization should do is work hard on their reputation around the league as a joke. This season they have truly played well and certainly that is not due to the ridiculous ownership they have. Wang has been the laughingstock of the NHL for a while now. It still shows, like having a medical team that cannot properly diagnose a concussion, either that or the organization intentionally was willing to risk their prized assets' career. Goaltender concussions are much different then that for regular players (just look at Richter who by the way received both concussions from shots hitting him in the mask)so to risk your goaltender's health either by intent or incompetence is pretty ridiculous. Expecting the league to respond to a rant about the ICE GIRLS is really off the wall. Why anyone would even believe the league would get involved shows how ludicrous the Isles organization is and you can bet the house that this is something Wang pushed for so from Snow down the foot soldiers had no choice but to behave. This organization will never be able to take advantage of knowledgeable hockey people because Wang always calls the shots. The ICE capades caper is just another laughable Wang antion!
