Boston Bruins vs Maple Leafs Preview: 7:30pm SNET-O

Here's what I want to know about last night's game. Who the hell was supposed to be garding Phil Kessle on Boston's 5th goal? If I remember correctly, it was not an odd man rush. He's gonna be a good player in this league, you don't just leave him or anyone for that matter standing right around the %ucking net with nobody on him for god sakes! They simply went for the puck, they teach the player to take the man in pee wee hockey (I never played but I grew up in a family where my dad coached, my brother played, and I used to watch a lot of games). They let Boston keep them around the perimeter, they didn't drive the net, they didn't lay the body either. They looked out muscled out there, they didn't drive the net, and there was only a few minutes in the game where I can honestly say they sustained any sort of pressure. When that happened, Tim Thomas was solid.

I'll give Boston credit, they wanted it more then Toronto did and it blatantly showed.

That's the key D.. Boston wanted it more than the leafs.. I think the leafs have put in a good enough effort in the last few games to fool the management that they are a good team... And you know what they are a good team when they want to play....Problem is that most nights,there is not enough of them wanting to play full out ! If they would have played with the desire that they have displayed in the last fifteen games at the beginning of the season,they would have clinched a playoff spot long ago....but they didn't and now they will pay the price !

I know, lets hope management does something in the summer. I think it's rebuilding time, but me saying that is nothing new. I was honestly kind of hoping they'd squeak into the big dance.

I was hoping they would too,but it probably would have been better if they didnt get this close......... i.e. better draft pick.....they should have played raycroft so we could lose a couple more and showcase him for some sort of return in the trade market.. and sundin should have given up his no trade........ that would have helped this team the most... and I do like Matts very much,but for the betterment of the team it would have changed the speed in which we could retool !

Don't forget this is supposed to be a good draft this year. I agree with you for the most part. We supposedly have one of the worst futures in the league. However, there is still the chance that we could trade Kubina in the summer. I'm looking forward to seeing what this club does in the offseason, I think this team is gonna totally change. Raycroft for one will NOT be back, Tucker should be bought out, there is the possibility that Jason Blake could be gone. All in all I predict another three years at least to make the playoffs, although hoping they make it next year. Anyways, I'm willing to wait so that these guys can get me a team worth being proud of again.
