well the joy of winning one in a row didnt last to long. after scoring 10 last night they must have forgotten how to score overnight. this team is going nowhere in a hurry. They show absolutely no signs of being a playoff caliber team. Regier blew it and should be held accountable for what is happening to this team. Tom G. take note: you will lose most of the fan base next year if this continues. I for one will not renew my season tickets. Had I known we were going to lose two premiere players I would not have renewed this year but you got my money before that happened. wont happen this year.

i cant stand when fans are band wagon jumpers when the team is good everyone loves them, when theyre bad, "im never going to another game". but i dont blame you dave, the coax you into renewing season tickets in the playoffs to get your seats for the playoffs, then let the two best players on the team go. then youre stuck with this crap. they shouldve atleast signed one of them. and vanek for $52 million??!! cmon, the only reason he did so good last year was because of drury and briere. other teams had to focus on them and it freed up vanek, now look at him. im no hockey genius but i coulda figured that one out. nice going golisano, quinn and reiger. can we trade them for a bucket of pucks?!

I am not a band wagon jumper. I have had season tickets for sabres and bills for the good years as well as the bad. The problem is it is very expensive now and it gets to the point where you cannot justify spending hard earned money on a bad product. These players get paid very well win or lose. when they lose they get paid. how about when they lose I get my money back for that game? not going to happen. I am sorry but if Regier and Golisano are not going to do what it takes to win I am not giving them my money and as far as the Bills SAME STORY.

I'm a Leafs fan, and I honestly have mixed feelings about our wins because I think they need to rebuild. However, I didn't think that Buffalo was that bad tonight. They looked stronger as the game went on, the difference is that they didn't play from the start and the Leafs took advantage of that. Plus Toskala had a decent game too, for a stretch in the 3rd, you guys (Sabres) were getting good scoring chances.

However, being a Leafs fan is frusturating, they can't even lose right when they need to rebuild!!! I don't watch a ton of Buffalo games but from what I take it, is that this team is having trouble adjusting to life without Briere and Drury. I think you guys will be back next year though, still a lot of talent on that team.

Seriously what do you expect? Miller was NEVER a premier goaltender, we just had the team in front of him to score enough goals. Look at his stats they were never great, only the wins, but he was always allowing 2-3 goal a night, but we used to score 3-5 and cover that up. Also over the past 2 years the team has NEVER played 3 periods of hockey. We always seem to show up for 1/2 a game, and now this year that 1/2 of game we are piccking our noses we are burying ourselves into a whole.

Management thought that the talent could be replaced, and to be honest we could have lost one of them and still had a good team, hell we could have lost both and signed a Free-Agent Vet. to lead the team but we didn't. Now we are a losing team. I am no band wagon jumper but I would rather watch and pay to see a winning team... Buffalo has always been known to fully support a winning team, and it is no longer the Sabres.

Trade deadline is coming up if we don't sign Campbell he has to be traded, also if anyone offers us anything for Kalinen, it is a contract year for him too and I think he will be gonne no matter what so we should try to get something for him. I also think it is about time to think about trading Miller. He has value, if we somehow package Miller & Campbell I really think we could end up bringing in a top notch player. I don't know what teams would make offers, but it is about time to look at "rebuilding" because all the star free-agents that were supposed to be available this off-season got locked up last season (Heatley being one).... Maybe it is about time the Sabres use that as a lesson and stop letting not just star, but even good players play into their contract year.

Oh ya good thing we kept Teppo for this year, he has really helped us out!! Zubris, Drury & Briere go and we keep a guy that hasn't played 1 game & probably won't... good job front office, where do I sign up for season tickets?

I wouldn't sweat the lack of losses too much, D. The Leafs are playing some teams soon that aren't decimated by injuries and the flu.

The rumour du-jour has Philly looking at Sundin (just try wrapping your head around THAT possibility, but it could just be a head game to mess with Foppa.)

As for Buffalo, beg, borrow, steal, but DO NOT let Cambell get away! If anything, build around him. Miller would be alot better in goal if he had some solid defensive play in front of him again (of course, what goalie wouldn't).

Disagree strongly with that. The de has not lived up to their expectations, especially Lydman & Tallinder, but still last night he faced 24 shots... that is extremely low & he allowed 4 goals. Spacack has stepped his game up again this year and he is missed when out with injuries, but I would not blame the Defense.

Look at the shootout record... Miller sucks! It is because we do not score goals in front of him. Miller is an average goalie in the league, always has been always will be.

Wouldn't that be scary if Philly had Briere, Foppa, and Sundin? Yikes! At leaast they wouldn't be on the same line I'm pretty sure, Sundin's a center.

I just can't buy thet Miller could get thet bad, that quick. He was pretty solid in the playoffs last year and he is still pretty young. Trying to keep Biron happy in Buffalo would have probably worked better than letting him be a solid weapon for Philly (with the right attitude, he'd have been a decent mantor for Miller).
Were I a Sabres fan I'd just be worried that Miller was having a Cam Ward year, he's no Hasek, but he's no Raycroft either.
What do you think about the Cambell situation though? I think this could cut deep for the Sabres future (again).

Miller!! Think about it he has never been solid in goal that's why he only has three career shutouts. Its time to give Thibault a chance, at least he has Thirty Eight career shutouts.

...But whenever Thibaults been leaned on for more than 5 games at a stretch, he buckles. I don't think he's the answer either.

The only teams in the entire NHL with less points

are the Lightening and the Kings.

You pathetic Butterknife fans are as much a fault

as the mamagement. Your acceptance of inferiority

and sloppy, apathetic play has created the

greatest downfall in Buffalo sports history.

You do the exact same thing with our local

politicans and then you vote them back in over

and over again.

You deserve to rot in this swill. Maybe the

Sabres and Bills are qualified for public

assistance/welfare and affirmative action.

A socialist state deserves a socialist sports

team.

Miller has never been Solid... someone made the point about Shutouts earlier, which is a key stat for a solid goalie. He hasn't got bad he just does not have the scoring in front of him to cover up that he is a decent goalie. Going to Thiabult is not the answer either, he has had chance after chance and failed to shine.

Campbell we have to trade him. We need something in return for him, thats why I even suggest package him and Miller & completely rebuild. We have enough young talent to build from, we would just need a Goalie & some vetern leadership and I think "rebuilding" would work.
