Pittsburgh defenseman Sergei Gonchar has an undisclosed injury that occurred when he was leveled Friday night by a knee-to-knee hit by Capitals star Alex Ovechkin that several Penguins players called a dirty play.

Nope. It turns out that superstars are allowed to do things like this. Apparently, the NHL thinks double-standards like this protect the image of the league. Gonchar's agent is irate, saying that if it was anyone else, he'd be looking at a multi-game suspension, but because it was Ovechkin, it all suddenly became Gonchar's fault for not getting his knee out of the way in time.

You're exactly right. It was a dirty hit. But he won't be punished. Oh well, the Pens are going to take this series tomorrow night anyways.

time to mess up the geico caveman!!! I hope they bring goddard into the lineup and he picks a fight with that chump....anyway I doubt that ovechkin would fight...his paleolithic survival instincts are pretty strong.
