A great effort. This team is NOT the same as last year.Anderson breeds confidence at goalie.Frolik is getting better and better and Campbell playing more has helped this team.I would not be in any rush to put Horton back in and I would continue to increase Stewarts minutes.Tarnasky is a good hustler and a positive influence. This whole team is playing over its head right now so pinch me when it ends.I would take one point right now against Boston folks.Even Olesz started picking up his game tonite.I cant believe what Peltonen is doing now!Martin should shop Horton and Vokoun at the very least. We are now one point behind the 8th place team.Maybe the impossible can happen. At least they are fun/exciting to watch.

While more typical for real NHL teams, I have to admit that a three game winning streak is very impressive for our NHL farm club. If they can extend that to even 4 or 6 wins than it is possible that the Panthers have turned a corner or at least changed their pathetic ways. The real test will be against red hot Boston. If they can put them away in regulation then the "lucky bounces" excuse no longer flies. However, the shot count needs to come down or the wheels are coming off the bandwagon as the bandwagoners climb onboard. Secondly, I would also suggest that Horton and Campbell trade lines and minutes if Horton comes back and starts dogging it again (as he usually does). The 3rd and 4th lines on this team have raised the bar on all the guys that our out. If they can't produce then DeBoer will need to make some difficult decisions (because we know Martin won't).

Fact: All Panthers win streaks come to an end the minute RED has a sniff of optimism lol.

Interesting game last night, I was expecting the Panthers to lose. But Anderson is playing wild right now. Look out now, the Cats are at .500! Historically that means that they will lose at least the next 2/3 to return to reality, but we'll see what happens.

Thank you Craig Anderson for keeping the season from going down the drain at the quarter pole. Big props to Campbell for playing the best hockey of his life and it's also good to see Bouwmeester remember providing offense from the blue line is part of what he is supposed to be doing. We are only .500 so let's keep it up. Staying above the .500 mark has been a big problem so if they can do it I'll start believing.

Yes, this Panthers team is fun and exciting to watch. The Tarnasky trade has paid dividends. The team is coming together under DeBoer and they are looking really tough. The question is, how to continue to improve this team through trades? Perhaps shopping Vokoun and Horton is the answer. It was a good game last night, and I am looking forward to being at the BAC for what will hopefully be a victory over the Bruins. These are good times for loyal Panthers fans. Goes to show how little the negative whiners know about hockey.

Panthers are playing as a team, not as individuals.Campbell and Frolik are outstanding and Anderson has proved to be a true number one.If Boumeister doesn't resign we must trade him (rather then risk losing him for nothing), and Voukun for some big time scorers and team players to get to the next level.GO TEAM!

Hockey has always been about the hit goaltender. Don't agree with trading vokun, as everyone cools off. As for horton my hopes is he will see he is not the end all and will fight for his job.

Need booth stillman and horton back soon so the lunch bucket crew can't do it forever. But lots of fun watching the kids hustle!

Louie,
You posting was making sense until you decided to insult those of us call on the ownership and management of the team to provide quality hockey for a full season and not every two months.
First of all, I'm happy the Panthers' won and since I wasn't home, I listened to the game on the radio. They are playing hard and with lots of emotion. Role players are scoring and Anderson is playing like the Beezer. I really wish they can keep it up to compensate for the lack of talent (a fact stated by all the Hockey experts accross the sports media, not the negative whiners)
The fact that lazy Horton is not playing is because he's hurt, not because your idol Jacques Martin pulled him out of the lineup. another of JM's free agent signing (STillman) is not playing, and voila, the team has a 3 game winning streak. I understand you wet your pants on a 3 game wining streak, because they are rare.
For the last 3 seasons, everytime the team reaches 500 or 1 game above, they go and lose the next 4 or 5. The real test starts this Saturday. If they win 5 of the next 7, I'll jump into the bandwagon and might pay for some tickets.
Having said this, I still stand by my opinion that Jacques Martin is an incompetent GM, and Alan Cohen doesn't care too much about the team. Sorry to hurt your feelings since you seem to have a big crush on them.

A decent game, they were outworked there for several periods, but when the Cats got their chances, they made 'em count. Andy was pretty good again, didn't have to face a ton of high-percentage shots, but when he did he was solid.

Boston is going to be a real test for this team. Win streaks and points are great, but the Panthers need to be able to hang with the big boys in the conference if they have any hopes of reaching the post-season, and succeeding in it. Regular season wins against the NHL's best will help temper everyone's expectations.

The cats' play of late has been nice to see. None of the Panthers seem to be coasting. They all want to play and are working hard for it. Even McArdle and Tarnasky (who drew one of the two Buffalo penalties through hard work) were grinding away at the team game.

I'm not sure that playing Anderson against Boston is a great idea. Vokoun has to play sometime. Then again I thought the team would fail completely without Booth, Stillman, Horton, etc. Instead they're playing NHL hockey and deserve the points they're grinding out.

The Panthers are now one point out of a playoff spot. If anyone just thought "but it's only December", kick yourself right now. This needs to be on their minds all year, and it seems the team got the memo.

Still lingering negativism. Unreal!! This team is on its way now. DeBoer has created a new atmosphere of positive thinking and ridding the lockerroom of a losing attitude, much as Parcells is doing with the Dolphins. They still have a ways to go but the foundation is now in.Play hard or be gone.
When the so called "stars" come back they had better be prepared to play 110% every minute of every shift or this coach will find a nice soft seat on the bench for them.
I repeat what I said months ago, this team will make the playoffs and last years would have if DeBoer was the coach..And please, enough with knocking Yormack and Cohen, they dont play the games!! The payroll is near the top of the cap and Yormack promotes this team and other events extreemly well...

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
