Well,
I think we were a bit wrong about the Sabres not being tough. They hit us all night.

I see a sweep. What a shame. One Cup in (67) Sixty seven years. The great stRANGERS will fall in there own beautiful building. When it comes to the Cup and thr stRANGERS, all I can say is...ONE SINCE FORTY...ONE SINCE FORTY..ONE SINCE FORTY

Rangers have no shot in this series. Ranger fans and ranger players have your EGO'S come down to earth now. Yes the ISLANDERS may be out of the playoffs but atleast we put up more of a battle against the SABERS. Your goalie is no longer a king as you call him then again he cant be one till he wins a cup and he looked more like a phesant than anything else tonight. Bow down to the STANLYCUP CHAMPTIONS the Buffalo Sabers 2006-07.

Hey Baumbach,
Those "Cup Contenders" sure looked great in the first game. It looks like manhandling the lowly Thrashers gave you chumps false hope.

Buffalo looked great. They weathered the first few minutes of the game when the rumpRangers were pouring it on. The rumpRangers took alot of penalties because of Buffalo's speed and the way Buffalo forchecked. The Rangers looked a little frusstrated by games end. Avery wasn't even a factor. He talked big leading up to this game, but came up small. I still think it might go seven games. But Buffalo wins and goes on to face Ottawa. Thats the series I am looking forward too!

it's just one game ranger fans, let them play the series out...don't write them off just yet..The Rangers sill have a chance to win this series.. If they can split the series in Buffalo, comming home tied wouldn't look so bad. Next Game is very important

The rangers really could have talked a little less and prepared a bit more...anyone who has followed the sabres know they don't go to many games without finally scoring in bunches; also, they will only get more motivated and 'tight' as a unit as the final goal gets closer.

whenever a coach says the kinds of things Renney did before this series, he's trying to convince his players--and maybe himself--that the team has a shot. if he didn't know before, he does now: they have no shot. avery is a goof and, apparently, a diver. its all very, very sad. I did notice Renney now has "the utmost respect for our opponents." (AP) getting crushed 5-2 will do that for ya.

See Ranger fans. And you thought the Islanders sucked against Buffalo. Put away that broom that you were all bragging about and see what it’s like to play a better team.

My prediction, you’ll go down 4-2 and can golf with the Islanders.

I was quite surprised by last night's result. My cabernet did not go down too well. Perhaps Friday will provide a better result.

Ken (aka hello), I believe anne has heard of 1994. That's why the post states ONE SINCE FORTY-ONE SINCE FORTY. The ONE is the ONE from 1994. The FORTY is the year the rags won the cup before 1994. The FORTY was before WWII when only six teams played. The SINCE is the period of time between the FORTY and now. As for the way anne looks, what does that have to do with anything? I'll tell you what is real ugly, the rags cup record since before WWII. What is it again? Oh, thats right-ONE SINCE FORTY!

Agreed, but her chant should be not "ONE SINCE FORTY...ONE SINCE FORTY..ONE SINCE FORTY"

It should be "ONCE IN FOURTY"

To HI KEN: Regardless,'83 and '94 are both ancient history.

(Sabres are too quick for both of our teams, anyway!)

Agreed. Watching the first series, I compared the Sabres to professional players, and the Islanders to College. It's the same with the Rangers. The Sabres totally out played both of them. The Rangers have a long way to go.

I agree. Did you see the Ducks, also a very fast team.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
