Welcome to Buffalo, the Sabres played well, even though the defense still didnt do good, and our backup goalie sucked.

Theres still alot of games to go before the playoffs.

Did anyone see the highlight from the SanJose game when Campbell was getting ruffed up by Nash, and Campbell was turtling in the corner. Thats what you get from a guy who cries because he is leaving for more money.

How about Hamhuis declining to go with Bernier at the end, he looked scared and Bernier said you want to go and he looked at him and shook his head no. Gotta Love it. Good game a little dicey in our own end but that has been a problem all year. Lets keep it going, Bernier seems to be great addition to the team especilly that line. But who sits when we are healthy. Paille, Macarthur and ?

So where are all the naysayers from yesterday's story - the ones who immediately said "bad trade, Bernier's a no-name nothing, etc. etc."??? Where are they hiding today? I didn't know much about the guy before yesterday, but I was certainly willing to give the guy a chance to prove himself! I hoped that he would light up the ice just to put the naysayers in their place! I'd say he did that and more! 2 goals, and assist, and jumping right into the fire when Kaleta was on the receiving end of a cheap shot. Yes, I also know it is only one game. But it definitely was encouraging!! Welcome to Buffalo Steve!

On another note, did anyone else get a kick out of Peters' reaction to his goal (1st this season, 4th career)? It was like watching a little kid get his first goal in pee-wee hockey! It was what hockey is all about - no cockiness, just pure enjoyment. Way to go Peters!

Folks..its just one game....but what a game..
Anyone that has played the game..you play for a new team your adrenaline's pumping to show what you can do... Bernie showed some moxy throughout the game..knowing where to be / play on this team in only a short time...and when he had that guy in the third period...and the other guy shook him 'no' about 'going'... He goes to the net.. he screens the goalie on P/P..no one moved him!! and stepped right in!!! Keep it up ...!! Next Stop: MONTREAL...in our house!

Steve
thanks for making me look so good.
After the Brier and Drury situation, I needed something to make me look good to the fans of Buffalo.
Keep up the good work.
I owe you one.

Jennifer from Buffalo said it best!

Loved the reaction to PETERS goal and those who really know and love hockey would never make such comments about a new trade. Campbell was a distraction to the entire team. That guy had something to prove. Robitaille said it best last night, a trade is a "shot in the arm" a new beginning for some, and this is Steve's new beginning!
He might be just what this team needs to get us back up there where we belong!!
I am a fan if we are in 8th place or in 1st place.

Nice to see the kid come to town with so much happiness. He looked excited to be here in a 'real hockey town' and I understand he is happy that his parents will now be able to make the trip down from Quebec city to see him play. We think of these guys as grown aged men, but he is a 22 year old kid who probably has been missing home for quite some time.

I hear they took him to Chefs for a nice carb-loaded lunch yesterday. I say get him some wings from Duffs or the Anchor Bar next.

Awesome game buffalo on the 8-4 win against the predators. You guys can do the same thing against the hungry canadiens but you guys can pull it out of their hands i know their a good team but not good anough for buffalo. All have to is keep playing your game and not their game and if you do play their game your in their slump. so please look forward to the playoffs.LET'S GO BUFFALO SABRES ARE THE BEST AND MOST WATCHED HOCKEY TEAM IN THE WORLD.

I gotta say that I am pretty proud of the way the entire team played last night. I am pretty happy with the new blood as well as the old that stuck around long enough to see a turn around....

LETS GO SABRES!

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Aquarius

Be careful now, because you could easily give someone the wrong impression and not even know that you're doing it. This is most likely to happen if you're trying to pussy-foot around them or avoid offending them, because that's when things could get lost in translation. You also have a tendency to sit on the fence now, which could make you seem slightly untrustworthy or shifty if you aren't careful.
