Great! A soon to be 40 year old goalie. Get ready to add more days to the DL this year.

To me this means DP is still hurt and possibly his career is over. Can Wang and Co. get some insurance money for this ridiculous contract? No way you pay a guy $2.5 to back up DP who should if healthy play 60 - 65 games. Come on Garth go for Havlat or Cammalleri!

This was bad decision. Would prefer Danis at this point, at least he's not turning 40! If plays anything more than 20 games he'll be burnt out can he even handle a pontentially heavy workload?

DP is not even allowed back on skates until August. He is still doing little rehab exercises and hasn't seen competitive NHL action for quite some time. I am sure the training staff isn't going to allow him to rush back after his string of probably career destroying injuries.

On a side note: I would love to see Chicago lose in the finals next year and Hossa have to watch a third team in a row celebrate winning the cup. I know I'm a hater. lol

OK,not to bad a deal.We can use Mannino as a back up because we know DP isn't ready.Would have liked Clemenson though. Now go for Cammaleri and maybe even Brasher for some bulk.

Thank GOD they picked up an actual NHL goalie to play with Rick. ITs funny how this site is the only place filled with negativity over this. Roloson is good enough to start (which he was doing a good job of) and at the same time understands his age/position and knows how to be a good backup. With Conk and Anderson signed, Roloson or Bulin would both be good choices, so I am happy that the Isles #1 need was addressed. Now lets get some size. *crosses fingers*

It was already stated that the Isles contacted Conklin, Anderson too- WTH do you expect the Isles to do, grab their hands and force one of them to sign a friggin contract? Give me a break.

Excellent signing.. Yes he is old at 39, but Roloson can still go with the best of them. Good job Snow. We all know DPs career is in question, otherwise why draft 2 goalies and sign such a good netminder in Roloson?

That's what happens when your team is a joke. You pay double for a 40 year old goalie...

These things will happen until the Isles get their act together... which hopefully happens in the next 2-3 years.

Conklin went for 2.6 a year not 1.6,so we did the right thing. All we need is 2 years until the draft goalies will be ready. Then we can by out DP for a third of whats left on the stupid contract and move on.Brasher is a ranger now so we need to address size and protection for JT and company.
