Recently found out that I am of Tahitian decent and my Tahitian family name is Hori.

How can I find out my geneology or search for family?

I have discovered that my great grandfather is from Tahiti. Lived in Mangaiia
His name is Maru Paaiti.
Does anyone know anything, photos etc. Most appreciated.

I am looking for my grandfather. All I know is his name was "Pai" and he was deported back to Tahiti from San Fransisco area around the early 1930's after he got my grandma pregnant. Her name is Minnie "Elmina" (Martinez) Guerra. Please help.

My family are the same wichmans but my great grandad changed it to witchman just before he died because he was wealthy and people used to tick up on his shop tab and he kept getting bills so he changed our last name to witchman

My great grandmother is ngamarama from Tahiti, a placed called Taa. 2 men by the name of Vakatini and Karika enticed her to come to Rarotonga to set up a business. They gave her land in Takuvaine and she remained there till she was old and frail, about 98years old. She had a business in Tahiti like a nightclub and she entertained in a place called Taa. Aloha, ive always known that my family was from Huahine, Tahiti but as hard as i try i can not find them. I have recently found the name of my great grandfather who sailed to Hawai'i on the "Active" ship. His name is Matapu'upu'u Tau'a, a missionary from Huahine. Pleas help me.

Aloha! I am related to the Noble family in Papeete. My great grandfather's brother apparently moved there from England, I heard he was a coffee & tea trader. He married a Tahitian woman, had a few children, but then divorced and remarried a woman from the Marquesas Islands. He had three sons with her. I spoke to one of the grreat granddaughters of the Tahitian branch about to years ago via email, but she ended contact after she told me she was going to ask her great grandmother for more family information. I think she was told to drop contact as my ancestor divorced her. I still want to research other possible family members if anybody has any knowledge of the Noble's either in Tahiti or the Marquesas. there are bambridges all over tahiti. i don't think they're rich any more though. like most of the people that came over in the late 1800s, they've had a gajillion children and by French law, all that inheritance has been spread into a million little pieces. also, mostly the chinese business people and politicos are the people with money these days. don't go looking for a rich, old uncle. you won't find it on the islands!
