Balloon Boy incident a hoax?

Sounds like he realized he got busted, and decided to soil his pants at 0:44.

According to Evening talk show while police where at house a member of the family started eating marijuana plants He apparently ate the evidence of four plants. Obviously social services should come in do an investigation and remove the kids from the parents pending a further investigation potential arrest and conviction of the parents. If found quilty the house should be seized to pay the expenses of the hoax .The children should be put in foster care.

From the mouths of babes........something smells fishy, and how did the boy get into the attic with no help? Would someone ask that question? Never before have I seen a parent stammer and look off camera for an answer. I don't think we've heard the last of this story.

I really think this thing was staged. What a horrid thing to do to the public that was really worried about this child. What horrid parents. Falcon was telling the truth when he said "it was for the show".
Make the parents pay for every cent spent. Social Services should look really close to this family

Falcon said he had toys and food in the attic. That sounds like staged to me. Also I think the question should be asked about how he got up there with his toys and food.

total hoax, what if an accident occured in the air during a rescue attempt, what about important medical cargo and supplies that were enroute from the airport that was delayed beacause of this HOAX. The chances of something like this happening are a million to one, and it just so happens that it occurs to a family featured on reality TV, yea right. Charges should be filed.

After seeing the interview on CNN I have to say that I smell a rat! The boys answers is a give away & the whole thing stinks. I think they need to do a thorough investigation & if these people are found to have staged this,they should be prosecuted!

Too big of a coincidence. I knew it was a hoax as soon as I heard they were on a reality T.V. show. what a bunch of attention hores, I hope this backfires on them in a huge way!

Maybe he didn't want us to hear what he had to tell us. Kinda like when my husband's in the shower and I tell him I'm taking $50 out of his wallet. Later, I can tell him "I told you, you just don't listen!"

The kind of story that makes you gasp, but to find out the boy was safe in his house all along and that the press got duped just makes it hilarious!

Hoax all the way. I will bet that if law enforcement looks into their finances they will find that they are near bankrupt and did it for the money. Very strange people.

Jim, you literally took the words out of my mouth. Earlier today when the story first broke, I, as probably everyone else was worried about the kid. But a short time later when it was reported that the family all went in the house and left the six year old outside with the balloon, red flags started popping up. And when it was discovered the kid had been in the attic, I too smelled a rat. I don't know about ye'alls homes but in mine, I need an eight foot ladder to get into the attic. So how did a six year old kid get into an attic without anyone noticing?

I'm not ready to accuse yet, but I smell a rat, a dirty rat!
