Trying to understand my crochet pattern:
sc in first tr, skip next ch-2 sp,*+(2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next ch-5 sp, sc in next ch-5 sp +, ch 5, sc in next ch-5 sp;

I understanding the next ch-2, next ch-5 sp? Looking at other abbreviations it says that ch- with a number refers to chain or space previously made. So I am not understanding which chain I use for my stitches?
