Lawsuit challenges state's tactics for collecting child support

Most women want to be liberated.. they dont need a man. The have 100% of the RIGHTS to choose if the want to be a mother or have a termination... the father has 0% RIGHTS... ok thats fine.

But when it comes to financial responsability then the courts state they both have RESPONSABILITY..... the system is set up so men have no rights or choice, they only have the financial responsbility to pay.

And i will not even get into the custody....

OH, I am currently owed 42,000.00 by the father of my kids. He proudly told the judge what he makes (a number way less than what he actually makes), and has never paid his court ordered 156.00 per week. When I asked if I could stop the kids from visiting him (every other weekend) I was told I would be in contempt of court if I stopped visitations. He has lost his right to drive in NH, and had a warrent issued for his arrest, so he simply moved across the state line. If anyone truly thinks that 156.00 for 2 kids (one is ADHD and learning disabled) is too much, then think again. I have worked 2 and 3 jobs to support them on my own...and if you think this is something I wanted...HELL, NO!!! I was sick of the beatings I was getting when he'd get home from drinking. This state is very attentive to people who are on the system and utilize welfare. Unfortunately there isn't anything they can do for me...My repayment is knowing that I didn't fail my kids, I've taught them responsibility and honestly.

I gotta put my 2 cents in also.... I could preach about a reason that the system sucks and try to defend it, but all I am going to say is, custodial parents should quit crying about money and calling people deadbeats... I hate that word. Truth is, if you had to pay you would think it sucks too. We need to live by the facts rather than how awful it is not have money. The fact is: The child support system sucks and is unfair meddling by the government in family affairs! Putting a child's dad in jail for not being able to pay is just plain evil! Do we vote for a president that does other people good and not ourselves? Do we give money to child support when it does them good or do we lose our house and let our OTHER kids suffer?

They need to change it to the person who owes it pays it or they go to jail until they do. It is not fair to make the person who hires the deadbeat pay it for them. And yes, that is what happens. We have several deadbeat dads working in my companys. When a person is hired we fax a paper in to the state and if they are a deadbeat that owes child support we get a paper telling how much to with hold from the check and then have to mail that money to the county that is taking care of it.
It is completely crazy. He owes the money. It's his debt. It's his problem. He should have to pay it and take care of it himself. Not me. I just had an idea here - if a guy owes child support money to more than one woman and is not paying it how 'bout we cut this thing off and he can't be responsible for any more kids being brought into this world.

As an employer, do what we did a couple of years ago and start charging the employee a service fee for each garnishment. That way you can cover your expenses. Withholding limitations vary by state and appears on each court order.

i was wondering if anyone can tell me if a man decides after 12 yrs of paying child suupport on 2 kids that he dont want to pay it anymore..he can just get out of it by saying i dont want to be you dad anymore..so he dont have to pay the child support

I don't care how upset I could ever be about not ever receiving child support. I could NEVER put the father of my children in jail because of it. I just don't see what that accomplishes. I could also never keep him from seeing the kids. I care far too much about my kiddos well being and happiness.
